I know what you're thinking. The simple solution would be to turn my cell off or at least put it on silent, right? I couldn't because my cell phone is the only phone people can get a hold of me on. When I lived in California, we didn't have a house phone. I just had my cell phone. So if my boyfriend/family or friends in Texas had to get a hold of me for an emergency or something important that required me to wake up (which did happen) I never would have waken up because it wouldn't make a sound on silent. Living in Texas, I do have a house phone but we don't get long distance so my family only has my cell to get a hold of me on. My family that lives in Texas also only has my cell number. Given it's not my house and not my phone, I don't give out the number for people to call me on. So, the only way to reach me is my cell phone and I cannot turn it off because of that. I'd feel like shit if something happened and no one could reach me until hours later because I was asleep and my phone was off.
So, I dealt with the annoyance of certain friends texting me far too early in the morning. I reminded my friends and hoped they would remember not to text or call that early because our schedules clashed, blah blah blah. I asked, I reminded, I was polite about it. For months. When it still kept happening, I devised a plan.
Knowing that they went to bed early, since they had to get up early for work or school, I would wait until midnight or later depending on the person and start texting or calling them. I'd wake them up in the middle of their slumber and annoy them, just as they had been doing to me. I would always say something like, "Oh I was bored at work/bored after work but oh, that's right, I'm waking you up because you get up early and don't stay up this late." Or, "I figure if you can call and wake me up, you wouldn't mind if I did the same." Oops. Maybe next time you're bored in class/at work at 5 AM, you'll remember to text someone who didn't just go to sleep an hour or so ago.
A few times of me texting/calling these friends late at night, disturbing their slumber and annoying them pretty much cured me of my problem. Some it took a few more times than others but within a month of my delicate little hints, they finally got the picture and stopped bugging me so early in the morning.
Last summer is when I decided to finally get back at them and do what was being done to me. Now, absolutely no one texts or calls me early as hell in the morning just because they're bored and want someone to chit chat with. Victory is mine. =)

Love this song. =) I'm not into the majority of pop music or the majority of the crap that comes on the radio. I LOVE P!nk though. I can relate to so many of her songs and she doesn't annoy the living hell out of me like most pop singers do. This song cracks me up because it reminds me of so many nights out in clubs and bars back when I was still single. Though usually I was out with guy friends since I never have had many girl friends but I digress. My point is, I love this song. And P!nk too. Yum.
Happy Thursday!

*laughs* I have friends who text me through out the night and heaven forbid I don't put my phone on silent. I understand and way to go!:)
Good job figuring out a solution to that problem! As for Pink, I think every guy on earth can relate to that song. Guys have it tough out at a bar. There is a fine line between trying to meet a girl at a bar and coming out looking like a player. The challenge is still pretty fun though.
Ha. Good plan, one I used effectively once myself!
lol yeah i would have done the EXACT same you did.
I tell my friends not to text me early unless it's an emergency. If they need to tell me something early that's what email is for. They can contact me on that and I'll email (or text) them back once I'm up.
Kara XOXO
Oooh like the song, it's new to me. Happy Thursday!
You're so EVIL! No wonder I adore you! LOL
What a devilish plan. Sometimes you have to beat them at their own game in order for them to get the hint though.
I love pink...I love that always does her vocals...she won't fake it and said she's rather sound like crap than fake it.
plus...she is hot. the song and video rocks.
xxx
I do the same thing. I refuse to put my phone on silent because I'm petrified that something will happen and no one will be able to get a hold of me. With my new phone, texts no longer wake me up, but on my old phone they always did.
I don't have my phone on silent, but when I'm actually asleep text messages and emails don't wake me up, only phone calls. Which is pretty awesome for me.
I lurrrvvvee that song - so so true, and such a girls' anthem :D The video is pretty cool too!
xxxx
U & Ur hand fucking rocks. Pink rocks.
ok, that was the greatest revenge. you did it in such a way that they really can't be angry with you or tell you off i mean let's face it, they've been messing with you so there ya go! perfect. Victory is definitely yours.
i missed you AR and am glad to come see you.
xoxo
loves autumn
Ha! Nice way to take care of the inconsiderate communicators!
I was so glad to get a phone where I could silent the texts but the phone would still ring.
I love that song too. It's honest.
