99 Things
1:Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?: Closed. Open would annoy me.
2:Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?: Sometimes, if they smell good and don't make my hair feel weird.
3:Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?: Out. My boyfriend's 6'8" so tucking them in is useless because he'll just knock them loose if I tuck them in. I've accepted this and let go of my want to have them tucked.
4:Have you ever stolen a street sign before?: No but I've been with people that were stealing a street sign before. Not in a really long time, though.
5:Do you like to use post-it notes?: Sometimes, when I think about using them. We have a dry erase board at home though so I tend to put notes on that.
6:Do you cut out coupons but then never use them?: Nope.
7:Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of a bees?: Neither sounds pleasant at all, thanks. I think I'd have better luck against a swarm of bees. A beekeeper once told me to avoid water and instead run through shrubbery or bushes instead because it'll distract them. So I'll be the seemingly off balance person hauling ass through your shrubs if a bee swarm is coming at me.
8:Do you have freckles?: A light smattering across my nose.
9:Do you always smile for pictures?: Sometimes. I don't like pictures so it's hard to get excited about them, unless I've been drinking. Plus I tend to make a goofy face over smiling because I feel more comfortable doing that.
10:What is your biggest pet peeve?: LACK OF PUNCTUALITY. People that don't close their mouths while they're eating and there's all those sounds and sights and nope. People that try to get on an elevator, bus, etc before letting the people coming off out first. People that walk out into the street or into a parking lot without checking traffic because their stupid face is buried in their phone instead of paying attention to what's going on around them. I'll stop there. :)
11:Do you ever count your steps when you walk?: Sometimes I do.
12:Have you ever peed in the woods?: Nope, I stay out of the woods.
13:What about pooped in the woods?: Nope, I stay out of the woods.
14:Do you ever dance even if theres no music playing?: Oh yeah.
15:Do you chew your pens and pencils?: NO. I HATE THAT.
16:How many people have you slept with this week?: One.
17:What size is your bed?: Queen, obviously. ;)
18:What is your Song of the week?: "Control" by Halsey and "Watch Me Drown" by Seether.
19:Is it okay for guys to wear pink?: They can wear whatever they want.
20:Do you still watch cartoons?: Occasionally. Animated movies far more often.
21:Whats your least favorite movie?: Snakes On A Plane. My boyfriend and youngest brother love it so unfortunately I've seen it.
22:Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?: I'm not revealing that, thanks. ;)
23:What do you drink with dinner?: Sweet tea or some kind of other beverage depending on my mood and what I'm eating. Example, I like a margarita with Tex-Mex but wouldn't drink one with say spaghetti.
24:What do you dip a chicken nugget in?: I don't eat chicken nuggets but it'd be ranch or barbecue sauce or hot wing sauce or honey mustard or spicy ranch or spicy ketchup. I LIKE A LOT OF STUFF OKAY.
25:What is your favorite food?: Italian. Tacos. Homemade macaroni and cheese.
26:What movies could you watch over and over and still love?: In & Out, Batman movies, Gone In 60 Seconds, Aladdin, The Last Samurai, The Boondock Saints, Wreck-It Ralph, Chef, the Underworld series, Big Hero 6, The Avengers, Lion King, Iron Man, Ghostbusters, Thor, Pirates of the Caribbean, Captain America, Maleficent, Skyfall, Tangled, Sherlock Holmes, Home Alone. I'll stop now. :D
27:Last person you kissed/kissed you?: Boyfriend.

29:Would you ever strip or pose nude in a magazine?: Probably not.
30:When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper?: Last week! :)
31:Can you change the oil on a car?: Yes, I can.
32:Ever gotten a speeding ticket?: Nope.
33:Ever ran out of gas?: Nope. I pay attention to the fuel indicator and the mileage indicator and if I'm starting to run low in an unfamiliar area, I stop before I need it just in case.
34:Favorite kind of sandwich?: Grilled cheese on sourdough or something spicy with chicken.
35:Best thing to eat for breakfast?: Depends on my mood. The best thing for breakfast ranges from cereal, bagel, fruit with yogurt, waffle with fruit or breakfast tacos.
36:What is your usual bedtime?: Whenever I'm tired. Usually I try to lay down around 10:30 since I get up really early for work but I rarely fall asleep before 11:30/midnight.
37:Are you lazy?: Nope. My boyfriend gives me a hard time because on "lazy days" I still clean or run errands or find things to do because I hate sitting around doing nothing.
38:When you were a kid, what did you dress up as for Halloween?: Various things. Rock Star, witch, superheros, ninjas.
39:What is your Chinese astrological sign?: Ox.
40:How many languages can you speak?: Two.

Spring, birthday, apple juice, Safe House, books, etc...
- I'm excited for warmer weather. Ready to put the hoodies away and bust out my flip-flops. Also, I'm ready for some swimming and wakeboarding this summer. Not to mention baseball and hopefully at least one trip to a beach somewhere. Maybe for my birthday since it's on a weekend this year! :D
- I, for some reason, randomly crave root beer from time to time. It has to be from a bottle and I only really like Maine Foot or IBC. Most grocery stores don't sell Maine Root so I only pick it up when I'm at Whole Foods or Central Market and in the mood for it. I was at Whole Foods last night and saw the root beer. I was more interested in getting some apple juice. I got some organic apple juice and some organic honeycrisp apple juice. If you've never had a honeycrisp apple, you're totally missing out, they're delicious. I have to buy organic apple juice because any kind (and trust me, I've tried tons of brands) made from a concentrate makes me have a weird reaction if I drink more than two ounces at a time.
- I hate cotton candy. I don't like the taste, it's too sweet and even the smell makes me gag a little.
- A nice, long shower is one of the best ways to kill a little bit of stress. It doesn't melt it all away but it does nicely at removing a layer or two. Or maybe it's all the singing I tend to do in the shower that de-stresses me. Or a combination of the shower and the rocking out. Whatever, it's awesome and I smell great afterward.
- The boyfriend and I went and saw Safe House on Sunday evening after my brother's hockey game, lunch with the family and several hours in IKEA. Safe House wasn't bad. The plot's pretty weak but there's a ton of action in it to make up for that. All the explosions and fighting scenes were pretty awesome and kept me entertained through the whole movie.
- I tried warm milk the other night for the first time. Guess what? It was not my favorite thing or anywhere close to it. I also didn't feel any more relaxed or ready to go to sleep. I'll be sticking to some warm tea when I get the urge for a warm beverage at night.
- I honestly don't care what most people think of me. I care more about how I feel about myself at the end of the day than what other people think of me. I wish more people felt that way. It drives me crazy watching people drive themselves crazy trying to please other people, fit in, worrying about how other people will see them, changing their views, being afraid to speak their mind, etc etc etc. If more people worried about being happy and confident in themselves instead, they would be a lot better off. In my opinion anyway.
- I love books more than I love most other things. I could (and do) spend hours happily reading some days. One problem I have? If I get really into a book, I speed through it and then get sad because I'm done with the book in a day or two. Some books are just so great you can't put them down!
- I made these a few days ago. It's the first time in a long time that I've made cupcake for myself and the boyfriend and not for someone else because I was being paid to do so. I ate one and now I'm pretty much done with them, lol. So now I'm making Shane take half of them to work with him tomorrow. Which is also kind of useful for me since a good handful of my customers are his co-workers, haha. :D
Happy Tuesday!

Is Mayonnaise An Instrument?....
Moving on to less serious and more possibly amusing things....
I find some amusing stuff on the internet. Tumblr in particular. So I'm going to share some things from there with some commentary from me. Exciting I know but I feel like doing it anyway and if you're reading this in the first place, I'll assume you're used to my nonsense. Or should be. Get on that if you're not, won't be changing anytime soon. ;)
BWA HA HA HA HA.
Ahem. I'm ignoring the less than perfect spelling in the first picture just because I get what they're saying. I would like to say that whole "pizza is a vegetable" thing is such a crock of shit, btw. Not that it needs to be said. It's not a fucking vegetable. If anything, it would be a fruit as they're basing it off it's tomato content and a tomato is technically a fruit. So, big fat fail there. Also, IT'S NOT A FRUIT NOR VEGETABLE. It's a combination of tomatoes, dough, cheese and sometimes meat and vegetables to make a tasty, tasty dish. Argh. I'm also super happy they don't have anything better or more important to discuss aside from shit like this.
This is my exact reaction when a song I haven't heard in A REALLY LONG TIME comes on....
At first it's like, "Wait, this sounds familiar....."
Then you hear that one verse that makes you remember the song...
Then you.....
So accurate. I probably get too excited when I hear a song I used to love but haven't heard in years but I can't help it. Once recognition kicks in and I realize I still know all or most of the words, I rock the fuck out.--------------------------------------------------
That wouldn't surprise me. You know, if those objects all hard appendages and faces. A brain might be necessary, too. If they had all of those things, though, this would make PERFECT sense. Since they don't, I just have to accept that I probably need to pay attention to where I set stuff down. Or realize that these things all hide their appendages and smug little faces in front of me. Kind of similar to how Andy's toys only come to life when no people are around. I'm on to you; wallet, keys and remote!
The only thing I have for this is that it's one of the fucking coolest pictures I've seen. Hockey is so awesome. So are badass photographers who manage to capture shots like this.

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Sunday night, I made the boyfriend chocolate chip cookies. I decided I wanted some mint chocolate chip cookies for myself and figured I could make a big batch and then give out half a dozen each to a few friends who have a mint chip weakness.
I posted a picture of the cookie dough for the mint chocolate chip cookies on Tumblr and Twitter. I had a lot of people from both want to know where I got the cookie dough because it looked awesome and they wanted to make it.
Then I had to go telling them that I didn't buy the cookie dough anywhere because honestly, I really hate store bought cookie dough. It just doesn't taste as good as cookies homemade cookies from scratch full of love, rainbows and other happy smiley stuff. Once I assured the people asking how easy it was to make, the recipe was requested. I figured I might as well post it on here so more people can snatch it if they want.
Here's how the cookie dough looked:
So, recipe time, yes?
CHOCOLATE CHIP MINT COOKIES
1 1/2 sticks of butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1.5 tsp. peppermint extract
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup mint baking chips (If you can't find any, Andes mints chopped up work too)
Green food color gel or food color liquid
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream butter and sugars on high speed. Beat in egg. Stir in vanilla and peppermint extracts.
Mix together dry ingredients and add to butter mixture slowly. Stir until just combined.
Add in food coloring gel/liquid until you get the desired shade of green you want. I like using the gel because you get a more vibrant color and it doesn't effect the taste or texture but food coloring liquid works fine, too. Stir until well combined.
Fold in chocolate chips and mint chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto a cookie sheet. (I actually use a small ice cream scoop.) Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove immediately and cool on wire rack.
You can also make these easier by using a package of Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix instead of dealing with the flour, baking powder, etc. Just make the mix according to direction, add the mint extract, baking chips and boom. A little bit of a quicker and easier version.
Enjoy!

Drunk tweeting...
So I'm sharing a few of the things I tweeted while at the bar Sunday night.
Tweets:
"just made the boyfriend listen to "drunken sailor" by blaggards just for the part where they talk about shaving balls w/ a rusty razor, haha"
"My hair smells good enough to eat, if you like coconut flavor. And eating hair. Trying to eat or harm my hair will get you punched, though."
"I just thought of something. There needs to be a strip club where only Suicide Girl-esque girls work & only dance to punk, metal, etc."
That third tweet was the most popular, even though it was Sunday night and I tweeted it after midnight. My timeline was slow but people came out of the woodwork to chime in on that opinion. I knew more of you were still up and just lurking about late at night. ;)
Also, that's one of the best ideas I've ever had. I need to get a loan or a really rich business partner and make that club happen.
The band I mentioned in the first tweet is now following me on Twitter. Which is cool because I found out not only are they a cool Irish Rock band but they're also from Houston so they're a cool Irish Rock band from Texas. Which is even better.
I also tend to tweet pictures of random things around me when I tweet and drink. For some reason, most of those didn't post last night. Which is sad because there were some cool shots. I'll just have to repost them to my Tumblr when I have some free time. ;)

GUESS WHAT?
First, thanks to those who commented on my "Going to church makes you a good person" post and thanks to those who e-mailed me about it, too. I promise I'll reply back to the emails as soon as I can. Not having internet for a week put me behind in replying to e-mails. :) I did have one douchebag message me to rant at me about how I should be ashamed of myself for thinking that going to church was what made someone a good person, that I had fucked up views, obviously was closed-minded and a lot of other garbage. He clearly didn't read more than the title of the post before deciding to message me to rant at me like a moron otherwise he never would have sent that message in the first place. And if you're reading this now by chance... Next time, read the actual post before messaging me or anyone else for that matter to rant at them about something they posted. The post shows I don't think what the post title implies because I meant it ironically. Which doesn't transcend in that one line but if you read the actual post, you would have realized that.
Anyway.....
It's a little after 4 AM right now but I wanted to go ahead and blog a little bit before I go pass the hell out. (Of course, I won't set this to post until 7 anyway but I plan on sleeping in several hours passed 7. :D) I had a super busy day off. I originally had plans with the family but my mom's not feeling well so that got postponed. Then I ended up staying home to be productive.
I did 6 loads of laundry. Working 6 nights a week and long shifts on those days doesn't leave me much time to get laundry done honestly. I also pulled off the sheets and mattress cushion pad thing and washed all of that and got all the towels done since we were totally out of clean towels.
I cleaned a lot. And sneezed a lot because I forgot to take some allergy medicine today.
I cooked myself an awesome dinner. Which was great. I don't ever have time to cook much anymore which is a bummer because I really enjoy cooking. In a way, I find it relaxing and at times even therapeutic. I cook maybe a couple times a month now. I usually just eat sandwiches, salads, or other things that are quick and easy; when I eat at home. I eat at work more often than not since I get free food and I'm there almost every night. Thankfully, we have soups, salads and healthier stuff so it's not like I'm loading up on greasy junk at work.
The rest of my night was spent between more cleaning, some organizing and... packing. As well as fucking around on Tumblr posting some pictures of ridiculously delicious looking food I found but that doesn't matter right now. Packing? Yes, packing. The Boyfriend and I will be moving to our own place again here soon enough. So, we've decided to start packing. A lot of stuff won't be coming with us but his mom will let us store stuff in her storage unit she has in their gigantic back yard. So, I've got started on packing up a lot of stuff. Some that will go into storage and some just things that can be packed away now. The Boyfriend packed up his huge collection of shot glasses for example; they won't be missed the couple more weeks they're sitting comfy in bubble wrap securely inside of a taped up box.
I forgot how tiring packing can be. I don't have a lot of stuff, honestly. I'm not bare bones or anything but I don't have a lot. I've moved a little over 20 times already in my life so I've learned to not keep a lot of junk and not buy things I don't really need. The Boyfriend on the other hand has moved only a couple times and has a TON of stuff. I've got 15 boxes of stuff packed up and don't feel like I've made much of a dent at all.
I also started a list of things we'll need to get for when we do move into our future apartment. I've been keeping my eye out for any deals on things we do need and picking up a few things here and there when I have the time and money to do so. We don't need that much stuff thankfully but the things we do need are things that aren't cheap. It'll be fine, though.
Anyway, enough about all of that. For now anyway. :)
The Stars play tonight! Against the Kings. I know a few of my Twitter buddies will have some things to say if my Stars lose but we're on a little bit of win streak right now so hopefully they keep up with that trend and kick ass tonight. Saturday night they won 6-1 against the Thrashers so it'd be great to follow that up with another awesome win. I won't be going to the game or watching very much of it since I'll be at work but hopefully I'll be able to keep up with it a little bit. Go Stars!
Okay, I'm exhausted. Time to go crawl into bed with my freshly cleaned sheets that will be so soft, warm and smell like whatever it is fabric softener smells like. I love that smell. I also love love love sleeping on sheets fresh from the dryer. Mmmm.

Hockey, erotic photography, etc...
....along a highway in Dallas when I was hanging out with my family Sunday. It's a Dallas Stars thing, as the right hand corner states. The 14 in the left corner is the number of a badass young man by the name of Jamie Benn. He's a hell of a player and I think he's only going to get better as he progresses and matures. "Bennscorin'" is a pretty damn clever play on words if you ask me. I like it anyway, haha.
The Stars play tonight and I actually have the night off from work. Which kind of sucks because I like working on game nights. We have the game on at work usually so I get to see a good portion of it while I work. We don't have cable or anything at home so I won't get to see it unless I watch a crappy internet feed assuming I find one.
I really enjoy Tumblr. A lot of people I know that use it don't follow me which is fine. Most of the people I know from blogger land use it for porn, erotic photos, sexy stuff, nudity and things along those lines. I don't use mine for that and I follow very few who do post those things. Seeing it day after day in huge waves pretty much kills it for me. It loses a lot of the appeal when you're bombarded with it. It kind of becomes something normal and almost mundane. The senses get kind of dull and it's less exciting. So, when I do see the occasional naughty thing on my Tumblr dash? It's a lot better than when I was seeing it daily and multiple times over. I'm just speaking for myself here, though. :)
More awesomeness from my Tumblr:
Also, if you missed yesterday's post... Please go check it out. I kicked off the Toys for Tots shopping by doing some late night shopping. There are a couple pictures there if you want to see what I got. And of course, there's still plenty of time to donate. :)

Floating on air...
Saturday, I'll see them again. We're going to the Stars vs Sabres game. We got 4 free tickets for the game. The Sabres are one of the teams I haven't seen the Stars play against live. I'll be able to cross them off my list after Saturday. My goal is to see at least every team in the NHL at least once. I'm about halfway there now. Too bad hockey tickets aren't cheap, lol.
I have a job interview today and another tomorrow. I haven't quit or been fired from my current job. I do have reasons for looking for another job, though. I'm just not ready to get into all of that right now. So, wish me luck on my interviews. Please?
The car needs new tires. Driving to work Saturday was semi-scaring because of the pouring rain from the thunderstorms. And I know, it's important to take care of those things because it's dangerous and blah blah blah. I know. I can't afford new tires at the moment so I'm just being extra careful with driving until I can get it taken care of.
It's a little after midnight right now as I'm typing this out and I'm so freaking tired. I don't get to see the Boyfriend much. Our work schedules clash a lot but he loves his new job quite a lot so I'm happy for him. I admit, I don't have trouble falling asleep without him but I do miss having him there anyway.
If you don't follow me on Twitter, you didn't see my burst with excitement about this so I feel a need to post it here, too.... THE TEXAS RANGERS ARE GOING TO PLAY IN THE WORLD SERIES!!!! I'm still not tired of saying that, lol. Fuck yes. That's such a beautiful thing to type really. Mmmm. :D Now, if only I could type a similar sentence for the Stars having to do with that certain Cup. *sigh* Though, they're off to a good start this season. I'll talk about that another day, though.
Last but certainly not least, if you haven't already, PLEASE check out my Toys For Tots blog post. Also, if you post about it please let me know so I can link to you for doing so. Also, if you want to post about it on your blog in the hopes of getting people over here to donate; I wouldn't mind and please let me know if you do. :)
Oops, I lied. One last thing. I posted this on my Tumblr blog. I reblogged it from one of the great girls I follow because it's so relevant to Tumblr and hell, the internet in general.

Make my day, bitches...
I'm just going to do some miscellany today. I have some semi-serious stuff I've been contemplating blogging about but for now, I'm so tired that I'm just not feeling it.
So, here is a "Halloween" themed survey I pulled off Tumblr. :)
What was your first Halloween costume?
I don't even know. The first one I remember was a rock star. I should find a picture and post it on here one day. xD
What costume did you hate?
I don't think I've ever hated one. I've always picked my own and wouldn't pick one I didn't like.
What are you going to be this year?
I'll be in my work clothes this year because I'll be working.
What was your most expensive costume?
Vampire Zombie. I couldn't decide, so I decided to combine the two and make my own costume.
What was your favorite costume?
Vampire Zombie! :D
When was the last time you went trick-or-treating?
When I was 18, lol.
M&Ms or Skittles?
Skittles, I'm not a chocolate fan.
Berry or Tropical Flavored candies?
I like both.
White, Milk, or Dark Chocolate?
I can do dark chocolate but again, not really a fan of chocolate.
Sour or Sweet?
Sour.
Chewy or Crunchy?
I like both, just depends on what it is.
Cloddhoppers or Whoppers?
I have no idea what cloddhoppers are and I dislike Whoppers so neither.
Chocolate-covered: Raisins or Peanuts?
Neither. I dislike raisins and don't care much for peanuts. Or chocolate, lol.
Starburst or Gobstoppers?
Both!
Bubble gum or lollipops?
Lollipops with the bubblegum inside! ;)
NERDS or Pop Rocks?
NERDS.
What was the first horror movie you saw?
I don't remember what it was called but it had these ridiculous little creatures in them that were spiky and there was a farm. That's all I remember. I was at my grandparents house for the weekend being "sneaky" and turned on the cable and watched it. Then didn't sleep all night, haha.
What was the last horror movie you saw?
I don't even bother watching horror movies these days, they're so laughable to me. I do love Rob Zombie's movies, though. They're not scary but they're pretty well done.
Zombies or Aliens?
ZOMBIES.
Ghosts or Vampires?
Either or. As long as they're not fluffy vampires like the ones from the Twilight books.
What is the goriest movie you have seen?
Hostel is the only one that is coming to mind right now but that wasn't too bad.
Who is scarier: The Ring girl or The Exorcist girl?
Uh, neither, lol. I guess if I have to pick, The Exorcist. The little twin girls in The Shining are way creepier than both of these chicks, though. ;)
Who is Scarier: The Saw clown or the Chucky doll?
The Saw clown I guess (even though those movies are ridiculous) mainly because clowns creep me out. Also, I didn't get the Chucky thing. Step on him, rum him over with a car, pick him up and smack him around, drop kick him, punt him like a football; it's a fucking 2 foot tall doll for crying out loud, lol.
What did you like better: Goosebumps or Are You Afraid of The Dark?
ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK! I watched that show all the time when I was a kid. I loved the Goosebumps books, though.
What do you prefer: Resident Evil or Silent Hill?
Resident Evil.
What was the scariest video game you have played?
Meh, video games don't scare me, lol.
What are you doing for Halloween this year?
Probably going to have to work. :( Which is a bummer since Halloween is my absolute most favorite holiday.
What is your biggest pet peeve about trick-or-treaters?
When you give them candy and they complain about not liking what you gave them. Or when they don't say anything and just stand there with their bag held open.
Do you like going to the fun theme haunted houses that are designed to try to scare the pants off of you?
No, I don't ever get scared so it feels like a waste of money, lol. It is fun to mess with other people, though. :D
What was your favorite jack-o-lantern you helped carve?
When we did Jack Skellington themed jack-o-lanterns! :D <3
That was fun. Ish. Lol. If you decide to do the Halloween survey, make sure you comment and let me know you did it so I can come check out your answers! Please. :)
Now, I leave you with a couple pictures that are posted on my Tumblr.
I want a fucking cake like this! How awesome would that be?! Mmm.
*Ahem....*
If you don't follow me on Tumblr, you totally should. :)

Sports, judgmental people, etc...
I love having a Pandora app on my phone but sometimes, I wish certain bands/singers would stop popping up on there. If I thumbs down an artist X amount of times, they should just stop popping up. Not that I mind really, I'm just saying it would be cool if the app were able to do that. Or if I could totally block an artist/band from popping up that would be cool, too. You can bookmark stuff you like, why not be able to block stuff you hate? Just a thought. :)
Yesterday, it was 75 outside during the day. Partly cloudy, blue skies, pleasant breeze. Abso-fucking-lutely amazing weather compared to the summer we've had. Or, you know, compared the how it was the day before. ;) I love weather like that. I'm hoping it stays like that. I'm so ready for some cooler temperatures and more enjoyable weather. The Boyfriend and I had errands to run so we did that and had a late lunch at Chipotle. It felt so good we ate outside on the patio, which is something The Boyfriend rarely ever wants to do because he gets hot so easily. The Chipotle we ate at has a disco ball hanging from one of the trees out on their patio. That picture's on my Tumblr page, too, lol. Also? I love having a Tumblr app on my phone. :D
It's ironic how people who like to yell, "OMG DON'T JUDGE ME!" tend to be more judgmental than the people they're accusing of being judgmental. Yet, they don't seem to think their "constructive criticism" is being judgmental. They're just trying to help, you see. Or they're just making harmless jokes about people and things they don't really know or understand. So, it's different. Yeah... not really.
I get to see my mom and two youngest siblings at some point this week. It's been like a year since I've seen them which is the longest I've ever been away from them before. I miss them and can't wait to see them. My brother did some of that growing up stuff and is now apparently going to be taller than I am. Which might be strange for a minute, lol. And I'm not sure what color hair my sister is currently rocking. I get along so well with both of them. I'm also excited to have them go to the Stars game with me and the Boyfriend and out friends Thursday. My youngest two siblings and also my mom all love hockey too.
Speaking of hockey (again...lol) I did my first NHL Fantasy Draft yesterday. White Nebula invited me to join her fantasy hockey league so I went for it. It took two hours but it didn't seem like that long. Possibly because I was getting some work/writing done while I was drafting players. It was pretty fun actually! You know, minus the fact that people kept stealing the players I wanted, haha. Then again, I was taking players other people wanted so all is fair in drafting. ;) I might post my fantasy roster on here sometime soon. Maybe...
I think that's enough rambling for today. I have to be at work soon, lol. Hope y'all had a great weekend!

This, that, the other thing...
I took The Boyfriend out for dinner last night. Nothing fancy or anything but it was nice to have the day off work and to go out to dinner with him. I hardly ever see him anymore because our work schedules clash. We live together and I see him one day out of the week since we both have Sundays off. I now really like Sunday. :p
The Boyfriend starts his new job in one week. I'm quite happy for him. I'm also happy that we'll be able to move out and live on our own again, just the two of us. I miss having my own place. I won't miss having to share a living space with other people. Or a cat. I'm not a cat person. Mostly because I'm seriously allergic to them and I'm not fond of anything that makes me feel disgusting and miserable.
I was out yesterday and heard a group of women in their mid-thirties complaining about how Paris Hilton is not news-worthy. And by heard, I mean they were standing behind me in line and discussing loudly that nothing she does should be news-worthy. This, amuses me. Why? Because all the other celebrities *are* much more news-worthy, eh? *rolls eyes*
There's a customer that comes into my job that looks like Henrik Zetterberg of the Detroit Red Wings. He's come in a few times now, his check is usually $15 or a little less but so far he always tips $10. He's nice, polite and kind of funny. And tips well. And doesn't make a huge mess. I like him, haha.
I have a Tumblr app on my cell now. I'm not on my laptop much since I'm so busy lately, lol. If the app works well, I'll be able to use Tumblr more since I always have my phone on me. Well, I'll have the ability to use it more but no promise that I actually will. Though, I did post a LOT on there yesterday while I was enjoying doing very little on my day off. :p
HOCKEY SEASON STARTS SOON. :D
And lastly, this quote? I LOVE IT.
“I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I’m not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.” - Robert McCloskey

Questions & a picture parade...
1.) If you could be a star athlete in any sport, which sport would you pick?
Hockey. ;)
2.) If you had to throw away either your TV or your computer, which would you choose?
TV. I pretty much never watch TV unless there's a game on I want to see and even then, most are on cable channels I don't have anyway. You can watch stuff online anyway, so... :)
3.) Would you rather own a luxury yacht or a private jet?
Jet.
4.) What was the last home cooked meal you had and when was it?
I don't remember when but I made spaghetti one afternoon before work recently-ish.
5.) If you had to become any fictional character out of Alice In Wonderland for an entire week, who would you be?
Mad Hatter. Who else? ;)
6.) If you could change your name, what would you change it to?
I wouldn't change it.
7.) Would it be terrible for you (since you don't like her) if you got stuck in an elevator with Lady Gaga?
I dislike her music. I don't know her as a person so I can't dislike her. It would be terrible to be stuck in any elevator, period. I'm claustrophobic and dislike elevators as it is. Being stuck in one? PASS.
8.) What TV show on FOOD Network would you be on?
We don't have cable/satellite so I have no idea.
9.) What is one thing you are bad at?
Waiting. I have a lot of energy and I get bored if I need to just sit somewhere, doing nothing, waiting.... Aye.
10.) Who is hotter; Eric Dane, Milo Ventimiglia, Chace Crawford or Paul Wesley?
I have no clue who any of them are.
11.) If you had to be one would you rather be a famous model, actress or musician?
Musician. I love music. I'd hate to be famous, though.
12.) What did the last message you got in a fortune cookie say?
No idea. I don't even remember the last time I had a fortune cookie because it was SO long ago.
13.) How do you like your steak served to you?
On a plate. :)
14.) If you had to give up watching hockey games on TV or sex for a year, which would you give up?
Ouch.... Uhh.... Hockey. Lol. I can still go to games, right? That's not watching on TV, so woo. What if I watch on the laptop? Woohoo. Still, between those two, I'd have to deal with reading about how the games went, lol.
15.) What's the best thing about your new job?
That I'm getting a paycheck again, lol.
Thanks for the questions, y'all! If anyone has anything else they want to ask, hit my formspring with them. I know I have a few there now so I'll answer them as I have time to. :)
And now, some pictures that were posted on my Tumblr... just because I want them here, too.

8) Broken by Sonata Arctica
9) My Last Serenade by Killswitch Engage
10) Savior by Rise Against
11) Blackwater Park by Opeth
12) Without Me by Eminem
13) Two Weeks by All That Remains
14) Rock You Like A Hurricane by The Scorpions
15) The Illusionist by Scar Symmetry
16) Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen
17) She Is by The Fray
18) Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith
19) Wrath by Lamb Of God
20) Dig by Incubus
And because I can, here are 5 more...

22) Chasing The Dragon by Epica
23) Dream Lover by Bobby Darin
24) It Is What It Is by Lifehouse
25) Pursuit Of Vikings by Amon Amarth
That was fairly amusing. I honestly don't understand why people would ever be embarrassed or ashamed to admit they like a particular song, band, singer, etc. Who gives a fuck if people you like don't like it? I guess in part because I don't give a shit what people think about me, I don't care if people poke fun of my music. I figure I have to be happy with what I listen to, no one else does. So, I like what I like. :)
Now, here are a few quotes about music that I love. Enjoy. ;)
"Music is what feelings sound like."
"Those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music." -Angela Monet
"Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul."
"When words leave off, music begins." -Heinrich Heine
"Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything." -Plato

I could not kiss, just regress...
I NEED SOME SECRETS for my Saturday posts. :D If you want to submit a secret for me to use next weekend (COME ON, DON'T BE SHY! :D) then just e-mail it to me: amorousrocker [at] gmail [dot] com. Or leave it as a comment here anonymously if you want to do it that way and I'll copy it and use it for next weekend's Secrets post. ;)
I posted that picture on my Tumblr yesterday after I saw it posted on Laken's Tumblr. I love rainbows and with the angle of the picture and the road covered with stuff fresh after some rain? It just looks beautiful to me.
I started reading "Alice In Wonderland" again a few days ago. I haven't read that book in years but decided I wanted to re-read it. It's still one of my favorites. I love that I haven't read it in so long but still remember most of it. Though, some bits I forgot so it's nice when I get to a part I don't remember. I've also been reading Edgar Allen Poe again here lately. I think it's been a good 6 months since I picked up a poetry book and read. I always feel like drawing after I read Poe. Not sure why. It just inspires me creatively in an odd way. :D
I tweeted this yesterday: "People almost always react funny when I say I don't particularly like bacon. I'm not a pork person. I don't like the meat Babe has to offer." I immediately got some joking tweets about people not being able to like me, love me or be online buddies with me any longer because I'm not a big fan of bacon. I got one tweet from someone who could relate. Then two more from people who don't eat any meat. I never quite get what the big deal about not liking bacon is. When I was younger, I LOVED it. I stopped liking it around the time I started working a job as a teenager where I worked around bacon and smelled it ALL THE TIME. After smelling it and seeing it so much, I didn't like it as much and only ate it on burgers. Then, I went from working around it and smelling it to actually getting to cook the bacon once I was working the opening shift. More than a pound of it. 6 mornings a week. I already didn't like it but that? Totally put me off of it. I just amuses me (and admittedly baffles a little bit, too) how people react to me not liking bacon. Like it's some sort of mortal crime or something. I could say I dislike sausage (which I do, seriously, not a pork person) and it doesn't get near the reaction not liking the All Mighty Bacon gets. People are crazy about bacon. *nods*
Musical Monday video for today? "Glycerine" by Bush. They have been one of my favorite bands since I was 14 and first heard one of their songs on the radio. I really enjoy their songs. I like and relate to a lot of what their songs are about. Also? I LOVE Gavin Rossdale's beautiful voice. *swoon*

Analyzing the answers...
Take the quiz here.
I'm going to post my results here and comment on them. :D Fun, eh? My comments are in italics.
Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.
This is true, for the most part. My decision doesn't always appeal to both parties and "sometimes" would be a better fit than "usually" because it doesn't happen to swing that way the majority of the time. I also know a lot of people who don't appreciate my blunt, straightforward nature. To those people? Fuck 'em.
The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don’t judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren’t necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people’s eyes.
Yes, yes and yes. Though, "serious" also needs to know how to relax and have fun. The last sentence annoys me a little bit but whatever.
Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you meet that person.
So not true. It takes me a while to commit. The Boyfriend and I talked and were friends and then moving "in that direction" for an entire year before I made a commitment to him. I'm slow to do that and I never know all that quickly if someone is someone I want to be with long term or not.
The seriousness of your love:
Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.
Again, the whole "being straightforward will pay off big for you" thing is annoying to me. Also, not true. My blunt and straightforward nature gets me labeled as a bitch quite often. Which is fine by me. I'd rather be a bitch than a lying little sugar coater that people can't figure out because I'm too afraid to speak my mind for whatever reasons.
Your views on education:
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.
SPOT ON.
The right job for you:
You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don’t focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.
Fairly accurate yet again. There's just so much in the world I want to achieve and accomplish, it's hard to focus on one thing and stick with it. I want to do it all! :D
How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don’t succeed. Don’t give up when you haven’t yet even started! Be courageous.
Part of this is true. I am scared of failure but not to the point that it ever stops me from doing what I want to do. I do it anyway, even if I am afraid, and hope like hell I don't fail. Then if I do, I try to learn from it so I don't repeat the same mistakes.
What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don’t ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.
Very true! Independence and being able to take care of myself are insanely important to me and something I pride myself on because I don't need people to take care of me. Which is also why I have such a very hard time letting people know when I do need help taking care of me and also why I tend to go without things I need before I'll ask for help. And yes, I am aware of the difference between stubborn pride and independence and do know that it's okay to ask for help from time to time. Knowing it and doing it aren't always the same thing.
Who is your true self:
You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.
Spot on, again!
While there were, of course, some things that weren't entirely accurate, it was mostly pretty right on. If any of you do this and end up posting your results or feel like sharing them, I'd love to see them! So definitely let me know if you decide to go take the quiz. :D
Also, if you have a Tumblr and I don't already follow you, hit me up with a link. I need more people to follow. And if you don't post kinky/sexy/erotic stuff on yours, that's fine. If you look at mine, I don't post much of that at all and most of the people I follow don't either. :D Or, if you ca suggest some Tumblr pages you find interesting, I'd check them out. Who knows, I might dig it, too!

Fucking fuckery...
My birthday is tomorrow. My boyfriend's off on Friday nights so he says he'll take me out to dinner then to celebrate. I don't mind waiting a few days. I told him it wasn't a big deal and not to worry about it but he and my friends disagreed and said we could do something Friday night. That picture over there on the left? That was taken at maybe 2 AM? I felt tired and looked tired but I also felt hyper and kind of spazzy. The black strings aren't strings or a necklaces. Those be the cords to my iPod headphones. I think I was jamming some Avantasia or Nightwish. Something of that nature.
I posted a lot of stuff on my Tumblr last night while I was bored and waiting for my laundry to get done. I love that website.
Tonight is GAME 6 in the Calder Cup Finals. If my Texas Stars lose, that's it. Hershey will win and be the Calder Cup Champions. I don't want that so... Go Stars! After the Calder is over, no more hockey until Fall.
At least I still have baseball. I just don't love that as much as I love hockey.
I have a job interview today. It's a 2nd interview with a place I interviewed last week. I'm so tired of interviews and 2nd interviews and still not having a job. So frustrating. Plus, I'm broke and I'm getting to a point where I won't be able to afford to keep going all over the place for interviews. Something please work out soon, thanks.
The bedroom smells like popcorn right now. I don't care much for popcorn. We don't even have any in the house, anyway. It's been months since someone last made popcorn. *shrug*
That's all the rambling for today. Anyone do anything fun or interesting this weekend? I hope y'all have a great day today.
Happy Monday!

This and that..
I posted this picture on my Tumblr page a little while ago. I just posted several pictures by the same photographer, actually. His photos are GORGEOUS. Most of them are real but some are digitally composed. If it's digitally mastered, he says so. If not, it's not. This one here? Not. Fucking beautiful, am I right? If you want to see more photos like that, you know, absolutely beautiful and occasionally breathtaking, I urge you to click the link and go through his sets on Flickr. Also if you have a Tumblr page, let me know. I'm always looking for more people to follow. Don't follow me if all you're looking for is erotic or naughty pictures. I rarely post anything like that on mine. There's a million other pages you can follow for that. I don't have a want or need to be that saturated in sex, though. No offense to anyone at all. I do follow a few people who post amazing, sexy stuff. I just don't use Tumblr expressly for that and don't immerse myself in it. Erotic photos stop being so sexy if you're looking at them every day, at least to me they do. It just becomes something normal and loses some of that appeal. I'm only speaking for myself, lol.
If you've read my blog regularly or for long enough, you've probably seen me post about my friend Fangs before. He's one of my best friends. He did one of my Through Their Eyes posts a while back also. I convinced him he needed to be on Twitter, even though I don't remember exactly why I was trying to get him on there in the first place. Even I don't always understand the methods in my madness but I digress. You should definitely go follow him, if you haven't already. @FireFangs66. He's awesome. :D
My younger sister sent me to her Tumblr page last night to read an argument she had and won with a stupid girl in one of her circles. She's not friends with the girl but they have mutual friends. Totally not going into the debate but it was a good topic and my little sister owned this girl's ass by the end of it. It makes me smile to see my younger sister has grown into such a logical, level headed little person. Who turns 20 this November. Holy shit, how did that happen? Seriously, she turned 16 last year I think. Anyway. I hadn't ever peeped at her Tumblr page before even though I knew she had one. I felt like it would be some invasion of privacy. Which is ironic because it's a public page on the internet but still. I didn't want to go look at it anyway. Since she sent me there to read the debate, I went back a few pages to see what kind of stuff she had posted. I found? Awesome stuff. Lots of funny stuff that made me laugh and plenty of things that are similar to things I have posted or would post. I snagged a few because they were great and I wanted to share them. And no, I will not be sharing my little sister's Tumblr page with anyone so don't even ask.
I'll probably post these again on Tumblr one day, maybe. That girl's nails? OMG WANT. That's too fucking cool. I don't even like getting my nails done and have never once gone to get a manicure or pedicure from a salon or nail place. I can't afford something like that right now but maybe one day if I can find someone to do that for me, I'd go for it. :D
The last one is from the movie 10 Things I Hate About You. Still one of my favorite movies, ever. I love it. I haven't watched it in a few months either so I think it's about time to remedy that one day here soon. :)

This and that...
I got an invite to a Facebook group that was actually cool. Usually, my friends invite me to things I pass on. "Mustache Ride Monday", "If you hate getting food stuck in your teeth" and other nonsense stuff. Granted, I joined a few that are nonsense to most people but I don't invite anyone to them. I got a good one yesterday. "Make It Illegal to Protest at Military Funerals" is of course, a group created because of a certain group of people whose name I won't even mention. Most of y'all should know who I'm talking about. What other group of people protests funerals besides the one that won't be named? Douches.
If you don't follow me on Twitter, you're missing out. ;) So, I'm going to post a little of the random, pointless crap I tweet about right now.
AshlyStar: My tip for today: Socks go on before the shoes. Don't try it shoes first, it will not end well. You're welcome.
AshlyStar: Too bad people don't have a mute button
AshlyStar: Why are there no robots to roll around doing my laundry for me? The Jetsons were so misleading about the future.
I posted this to my Tumblr yesterday.
Click the picture to go to my Tumblr and see the bigger version of it. The angle that this photograph was taken at? Fucking awesome. Not to mention I watched the game and know the action that was going on the moment this got snapped. The player positioning and the angle just rock. Too bad that one Shark that I *really* can't fucking stand (more so than the others, lol) is in it but oh well. Still a kick ass photograph.
Law Abiding Citizen and The Blind Side (especially the The Blind Side) are two of the best movies I've seen recently. L.A.C. just because I didn't figure out everything and have the plot and ending figured out before the movie was over. I hate that. The Blind Side is just heartwarming and amazing. And a damn good movie for anyone who wants to blame the world around them for why they can't succeed as well as someone else. It's touching and quite good.
