This is not an acid trip....

I was walking down the street on my way to the convenience store for a pack of gum, a bottled water and an energy drink. It was a gorgeous day; low 70's with a light breeze and big, puffy white clouds against the blue sky. The light breeze rustled the leaves of the trees that served as a shady canopy above my head. Cars passed by and there were others out walking as well. I could have taken the car but the convenience store was only two miles from where I live. Why not walk on such a lovely day?

I got to the crosswalk and stopped, hitting the button and then waiting for the light to change. My cell phone started ringing. I reached into my pocket for it but it wasn't there. I ran my hands over the length of my body but didn't feel my phone anywhere. I looked around and saw it laying on the sidewalk a couple feet to the right of me. I walked towards it and picked it up, puzzled about how it ended up there. I shrugged, answered the phone and then I fell through the the hole that opened suddenly in the concrete.

I felt myself sliding rapidly downwards in darkness. The material I was on was smooth and cool against my hands as I tried to grasp onto something uselessly. It felt thin and I momentarily panicked about it not being strong enough to hold me. I screamed and the sound echoed all around me. I came to what I thought was the end but it was just a wide curve in the material. I was sliding downward still but now I was going in multiple directions instead of only down. I tried to keep up. Left, right, left, straight again, right and then I felt my stomach turn as I was propelled upwards instead of down. My stomach turned again and I felt my eyes fluttering shut. I wouldn't puke but I might pass out. Wonderful. Just as my eyes began to close, I was launched into the air. My limbs were flailing as I sailed through the air, the darkness disappearing being replaced my a blinding white light. I shut my eyes tightly and felt myself free falling through the brightness.

I gritted my teeth and braced myself for a rough landing. I landed on a mattress and rolled off falling onto the too soft grass. I looked around and I was surprised to see tiny candy canes growing out of the too soft purple grass. Purple grass? I rubbed my eyes, kept them shut briefly and then opened them again. Yeah, purple grass with tiny candy canes growing out of it. I laughed and stood. I inhaled deeply and smelled peppermint, burning wood and vanilla. I looked around wondering what was burning and where the vanilla scent was coming from. I began walking slowly. All I could see was purple grass and the tiny candy canes. There seemed to be a point a half mile away where everything stopped. I walked that way. I reached the point where I couldn't see any further and suddenly, the grass under my feet widened, spreading out to reach further. Tiny candy canes popped up in the new grass. I stepped forward. Little houses, vibrantly colored and strangely decorated, popped up out of thin air. Shops and strange little people appeared too. I sped up my pace and tried to catch up to the strange looking people.

My phone rang and I pulled it out of my pocket to answer it. I answered it and music filtered out from the other end. I pulled the phone away from my ear and looked at it. It started melting slowly in my hand. I stared at it, mouth hanging open slightly, shocked and a bit confused. It was melting. It sizzled and cracked as it melted slowly. I felt like it should hurt but it didn't. It was popping and crackling in my hands yet felt cool to the touch, like running my hand under cold water after a slight burn. I stared at it strangely and watched as it continued melting into a puddle. The puddle started overflowing gently, falling to the grass around me. As soon as it hit the soft grass, the grass sizzled and began smoldering slightly. I flung the rest of the melting mess out of my hand and stomped on it as it hit the grass. It stopped smoldering and started changing colors. I watched for a second as it turned from blue to yellow to orange and then, it was gone, as if it had never been there in the first place.

I took ten steps, looking towards a few of the houses thinking I could get to one and find out what was happening. I got to a road that was made of purple bricks dusted with black glitter I paused and stared at the bricks for a few seconds. I moved to take another step forward but never made it onto the bricks. I was sucked into the ground and felt myself falling again. This time, I was not surrounded by total darkness. The tunnel I was sliding down was like a kaleidoscope of bright colors and pretty patterns. I got dizzy watching them all fly by but I couldn't close my eyes, couldn't stop staring as the colors and designs flew by me.

I launched out of the tunnel again. I landed on my feet and found myself standing in line at the convenience store. I looked around me, freaked out. The cashier got my attention and told me my total. I looked at him but didn't really see him. I heard him ask if I was okay. I shook my head and looked at him again. He looked concerned and I wondered how crazy I must seem in that moment. I smiled and pulled a a ten dollar bill out, left it on the counter and walked out of the store with my bag of items I had no recollection of picking up. I stood outside the door and inhaled. I smelled familiar smells. Gasoline, trees, a little of the dirty smell that hung over the town and something different, something not usually there. Peppermint. I looked down and saw little bits of purple grass sinking back down into the sidewalk.

I started running, towards my house, without looking back, without looking around me. As I ran, the purple grass started springing up around me again. I skidded to a stop on the street that I lived on as I watched the grass roll up through the concrete. I stopped, looking around. Beautiful, lush trees in vibrant colors shot up from the ground around me. I watched as little sparkling bulbs, one that looked like big, round Christmas ornaments, sprouted on all of the trees around me. The white fluffy clouds above my head began swirling and turned into a red color. The air smelled like vanilla now and I began walking slowly in the direction that my house should have been in.

I heard a shrill voice call my name and looked over my shoulder. A girl with bubble gum pink hair was waving at me frantically as she yelled my name. She appeared to be running but it didn't seem like she was getting any closer to me. She had bright blue makeup on and hot pink glitter dusted over her entire face. She was wearing a bright yellow dress, resembling the one Belle wears at the end of Beauty in the Beast and black combat boots. Suddenly, she reached behind her and produced a handful of candy canes. She launched them at me and I started running again. One of the candy canes hit me in the head and then another hole opened up and I was falling again. I was going down a spiral slide this time, black lights and plastic white stars lighting the way as I slid downwards. I slowly slid downward for what seemed like miles and then finally reached the end. I hit the ground and it was damp, purple and orange bubbles everywhere. The room smelled of cinnamon and the only light was still the black light and plastic stars. I looked around and saw what seemed to be a hallway. I followed the glowing plastic stars until I came to a door.

I reached to push the door open and then there was an arrow just above where my hand was. I looked behind me and saw several pairs of eyes and nothing more staring at me in the darkness. More arrows hit the wall around me and I reached for the door again. I pushed it open and rushed to step outside. I was on the side of a cliff and stopped myself from stepping down. Jagged rocks in vibrant colors and bright blue waves crashing violently against them were all that I could see below me. Suddenly, I felt hands on my back. I could smell vanilla again and started to fight back. Then several pairs of hands were restraining me rendering me unable to fight anything off. Someone whispered, "sorry love" against my ear and then I was being pushed across the threshold down into the jagged rocks and crashing waves. I was flailing down and looked back up at the door. All I could see where the eyes all staring down at me for a few seconds. Then it was arrows raining down on me as I fell toward to rocks and violent waters.

--------------------------

I woke up then, initially panicked and then relaxed a little when I realized I was laying in bed still. I inhaled deeply and then sighed, relieved that I didn't smell anything sweet or see anything brightly colored or sparkling. I looked around the room but couldn't make out more than vague shapes in the darkness. The bedroom was quiet and all I could hear was my boyfriend's rhythmic breathing next to me. I smiled to myself and laughed at myself before I closed my eyes and drowsily drifted back off to sleep. Thankfully, that dream didn't pick back up where it left off. :)

And no, I didn't drink or eat anything weird before bed. I didn't watch or read anything weird. I didn't drink any alcohol at all yesterday and I didn't take any different or odd medication. If you've read my blog long or known me long enough (or know me well enough) then you probably know I have semi-odd dreams like that pretty much every time I dream. I'm also really good at remembering my dreams most of the time and dream rather often.

Happy Thursday!

Relax while you're closing your eyes to me...

I'm copying something off of my formspring account to post today. I don't know who asks me the "this or that" questions or the "list one favorite thing" questions but I love them! They are so fun to do. Got something you want to ask me? Hit that link and ask. You can even ask anonymously. Make sure you check back on formspring for answers if you go ask something! ;)

On with the question.

I got these earrings for $9.50 and then never wore them because I decided I didn't really like them. I had meant to take them back but I rarely go to the mall so I just never got around to it. If anyone wants these, email me. amorousrocker [at] gmail [dot] com =) Don't worry, I don't expect $9.50 for them, lol. Click the image to make it bigger if you want.

The Stars play the San Jose Sharks tonight, in SJ. IT should be a good game to watch and hopefully the Stars get the win. We're in 10th place and not out of playoff contention yet but in all seriousness, it's just extremely unlikely. The Stars need to win the rest of their games and several teams need to start doing a lot of losing. *Sigh*

On Wednesday morning, I woke up with the dream I had fresh on my mind. I had a dream about grocery shopping in a super fancy store. I was also doing surgeries in the bakery with the cast of Family Guy... before revealing I was a CIA agent who was just guessing about what I was doing during these surgeries. Then I robbed the soda machine outside with my mind before I ran off to an island where I filmed a horror film. Also, the cast in the movie consisted of random NHL players, the Family Guy cast, Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, my boyfriend, a few of my friends, the shark from Jaws with human legs & a huge killer walrus that had a British accent when he talked. Of course, this is the short version of the dream but it gives you the general gist of it. And no, I didn't eat anything weird, drink any booze, watching anything weird or do anything at all that would have prompted such a strange dream. That's normal for me and my dreams are usually strange and random. I also have the awesome ability to remember them in pretty good detail most of the time. I have the best dreams ever.

Happy Thursday!

Believe in me because I was made for chasing dreams...

I was walking down the road. I had my iPod in, listening to Kevin Rudolf's "Let It Rock" and was trying to find something as I went along. I was looking in the grass on either side of me, looking for a tulip. For some reason or another, I seemed convinced there would be a tulip growing somewhere on the side of the road. Not a whole bunch of them either, just one singular little flower, chillin' alone in the grass.

I looked up and noticed a cloud that had the same shape as a lobster floating by. I laughed, thinking that was odd because it was shaped exactly like a lobster. Then another cloud floated by, shaped exactly like a Tonka dump truck. I stopped, forgetting the flower momentarily in order to watch the clouds float by. Next was a stiletto heel. Then a penguin. Then a flamingo, that was purple. I stared hard at that one. Purple? What the fuck? The next was orange and shaped like a horse. Then a sofa, a brilliant pink color. Then an emerald green cloud, shaped like a lamp. I pulled out my camera and started to take a picture of these strange yet perfectly formed odd colored clouds. As soon as I went to snap the picture, every single one of them disappeared. Annoyed, I put my camera away. Back came the clouds almost immediately. I tried to sneak the camera out. Pulling it out, pushing it up my hoodie sleeve and turning it on inside there. I was going to snap and then pull it out quickly. That was going to work. As soon as I discreetly went for the button, the clouds took off again, disappearing as if they had never even been there.

Then the sky was a dark, dark shade of blue. It started raining. Huge light blue rain drops the size of Oreo cookies began falling from the sky. I went to pull my iPod earbuds out so I could put the iPod away to protect it from the rain. I reached for it and found that my iPod had formed a little raincoat around it, keeping it dry and protecting it from the huge rain drops. I laughed at that, wondering how that happened. I decided I didn't care and started off in search for the tulip again. I walked a few minutes before I realized that, even with the size of the raindrops and as heavily as they were falling all around me, I wasn't getting wet. I stopped and tried to figure out what was going on. I had no clue so I started walking again.

A few minutes later, I could see the tulip I was searching for in the distance. I started walking quickly, trying to get there before it disappeared or before someone else got there. I laughed again. No one else was even outside, especially not now with these badass rain drops falling all over the place. Still, I moved swiftly to close to distance between the tulip and me. I reached it in no time at all. As soon as I touched it, the raindrops increased to the size of golf balls. The first one hit me on the head and I felt the cold water splashing down into my hair and trickling down my neck. Now every raindrop hitting me seemed to burst as it made contact and send a new tiny stream of water down me. I grumbled about that, wondering where my little raincoat out of nowhere was and why it hadn't formed around me yet. I guess my iPod was more important eh? I picked the tulip from the ground gently. I pulled a little plant pot from my bag and set the tulip in there. Then I scooped up soil from the ground where the tulip had been sitting and packed it into the pot. Once I was satisfied, I turned and began walking in the direction I had came with the potted plant in my hands.

I was soaked now. My feet were making squishing noises against the pavement. I tried to run but my feet weren't having it. My legs wouldn't cooperate and move any faster than they were going. I walked along, getting soaked by the huge raindrops and found myself staring at the ground as I walked. There were outlines of footprints in front of me. Some large, lined in green. Others medium sized, lined in blue. Small ones, lined in orange. Then tiny paw prints, lined in yellow. I freaked out and moved to the grass. I don't know why but I didn't want to walk over the footprints. They creeped me out for some reason.

I lost my footing in the wet grass and slipped. I landed on my ass, dropping the potted tulip. I screamed in horror as the pot broke open and the tulip disintegrated before my eyes. I punched the ground in frustration. A hole opened up around me and I slid down. Nothing but darkness surrounding me and the feeling of something wet and slimy as I slid down to wherever I was going. I finally came to a stop in a dimly lit area. I could hear water falling but never felt a thing drop. I heard voices whispering but I never saw anyone. Cautiously, I started walking in the direction where the light seemed to be coming from. I came to a fork in my path and contemplated over which path to take. Both had dim light filtering out through them. One was smaller, more narrow. The other very wide, with plenty of room to move without feeling suffocated. Obviously, the wider path appealed to my claustrophobic self. I moved in that direction but when I tried to move down the wide tunnel, I couldn't pass through. I moved back, took a running start and tried to leap into that tunnel. I smacked into the invisible wall that seemed to be there and landed on my ass again. I tried once more and found myself on my ass again. I hear laughter and looked around me again. I didn't see anyone. I punched and kicked at the air in front of me. More laughter. I was met with something solid, that I couldn't see. I sighed and moved to the smaller tunnel, dreading just the thought of having to go into the thing. I took a deep breath and walked to the mouth of that tunnel cautiously. I put my hand out and waved it around. Of course, no invisible wall here to keep me out. I moved into it slowly, suddenly scared out of my mind. Slowly, I moved down the length of the tunnel. I took deep, calming breaths and tried to convince myself the walls of the tunnel weren't pushing in on me and the ceiling wasn't really coming down to sit on me. That was all in my head and I spent the entire time walking down the tunnel convincing myself of just that (and not doing a very good job either) while taking slow, deep breaths.

I drew near the end of the tunnel and realized there was no place to go. It was solid. A dirt wall with no way out. I stopped and gawked at it. I punched the dirt wall, frustrated and confused. My hand slipped through the dirt and I found myself falling again. I was sliding again, going down further. I screamed. A bat flew up to me and covered my mouth with it's wings to keep me from screaming again. Instead of screaming, I tore the bat away from my lips and flung it outwards, hoping it wouldn't come back. Suddenly, I took a twisted turn and I felt myself sliding upwards. I screamed again. I increased speed and began rapidly sliding upwards. Something slid up behind me and started toying with my hair. I tried to reach back and slap it away but I couldn't. I screamed again, frustrated and I picked up speed again. I started screaming more and more and soon, I was going so fast I couldn't even see where I was going. The thing clinging to my hair couldn't hold on and I felt it slipping, slowly but surely. I screamed one last time and another burst of speed hit and the thing fell away from my hair.

Just then, bright red light filled the area and I had to close my eyes against it. I felt my feet hit something kind of solid and then the rest of me was crashing through it. I felt myself falling and I opened my eyes. I was outside. Falling from the sky with the huge raindrops. I was gaining speed as I fell. The ground was getting closer and I tried to find something in my bag to break the fall. I wrestled it off my back and found a miniature pogo stick, a box of animal crackers, a huge YoYo, a copy of Maxim magazine, a flashlight, a big purple dildo, eyeliner, an empty match box and a half eaten strawberry bagel. Frustrated, I let go of the bag and tried to wrestle out of the hoodie I was wearing, hoping to use it as some kind of parachute. I got it off and the wind ripped it away. The ground was only about 70 feet away now and I was cringing at the thought of impact. Then 20 feet from smacking into the concrete, the brilliant pink cloud shaped as a sofa appeared on the ground underneath me. I smacked into the cloud but it was solid. I barely felt any pain at all as I laid there, confused and stunned.

A car drove by but when they passed me, they stopped. A little blond girl leaned out the car window, gawking at me.

"Mommy, why is that girl floating on the sidewalk?"

I heard the mother yell at the girl to get back in the car and to roll the window up. Instead, the little girl crawled out the window and hopped out of the car. The mother yelled for her to come back. The little girl came to me. She got within a few feet of me and then slowed her pace, approaching me cautiously.

"How are you doing that?" she asked me curiously.

"I have no idea," I replied. I wondered why she couldn't see the cloud I was floating on but at the same time didn't really care why she couldn't see it.

The little girl stared at me with a curious expression in her eyes. Her mother was coming now. She had gotten out a bright green umbrella and was walking slowly through the rain towards us, yelling at her daughter to get away. The little girl paid her no mind and stepped closer to me. Suddenly, the mother was behind her, scooping her up and pulling her away. She stopped, glared one moment at me, then pulled a tulip out from inside her coat and tossed it at me. It landed on my stomach and then, the cloud was gone from under me and I fell the few inches to the ground landing on my ass.

I picked up the tulip and dropped it on the sidewalk. I found a lighter in my pocket and set the flower on fire. It burned into purple ash in a few seconds. As soon as a huge raindrop of water hit the ash, it turned into a giant bubble. It rose high up into the sky and then popped. It was loud and bright, like fireworks on the 4th of July. As soon as it popped, the rain stopped and the sky turned it's normal shade of blue. Tulips popped up in the grass all around me. I turned on my heels and ran as fast as I could to get away from them all.

I got home and slammed the front door shut turning all the locks into place. I was breathing heavily, my lungs feeling full of lead as I fought to catch my breath. I found myself laughing, just a little short of hysterical, a few moments later. I laughed until I had tears rolling down my face. I went to wipe the tears away then realized once I pulled my hand away that my tears were purple. I freaked out and ran into the bathroom. I had purple streaks down my cheeks and neck from where the tears had been. My body started shaking and I started crying. I wanted to get all of whatever this was out of me. I cried so much. My head started hurting but I kept crying. I started coughing and hiccuping but I kept crying. Then finally my tears were running clear just as I started to feel sick to my stomach. I washed my face with cold water then I laid down in the floor. I loved how the cold tile felt against my hot cheeks.

I don't know how long I laid there but eventually, I got up. I felt drained. Each step I took towards the door took great effort. I came out and found Alf sitting on the couch in the living room. He turned around, staring and smiling at me. He offered me popcorn but I declined. He shrugged at me. I asked him what he was doing. He stared at me and then winked. After he winked, everything was dark.

Moments later, I woke up. I was laying in my bed. My room was normal. I went into the bathroom, almost afraid to look in the mirror. I looked fine though. I checked the rest of the house. Alf free and nothing out of place. I laughed and wondered how I could have been so silly, to think any of that had really happened. I walked into the kitchen for a glass of juice. I was shaking my head and chuckling to myself. I opened the cabinet to pull out a glass, then I went to the refrigerator and pulled out the juice. I was walking back out of the kitchen. I had been so caught up in my thoughts, so lost in my head, too busy laughing at myself. I almost hadn't noticed but right then, I did. I almost dropped my glass as I stared at the vase sitting on the counter full of fresh tulips.

That's where the dream ended. No, I didn't eat anything weird (or eat anything at all for that matter) before bed. I didn't drink anything. I didn't read anything or watch anything. I didn't listen to music. I just laid down and fell asleep. I always have weird dreams, doesn't matter what I do or don't do before I fall asleep, lol. Some people comment on how they think it's awesome I remember so much of my dreams. I usually remember them because they were weird and I think about them after I wake up. I play over parts in my mind and wonder what kind of meaning someone who analyzed dreams would pull from mine, lol. That helps me remember them. Another thing that helps me remember them is I write them down. Which helps for when I want to post one here but also helps me because I can compare and see where I have similar things going on in this one or that one. There are a couple other reasons I write them down too but they're not important. My mind plays in Wonderland while I sleep, me thinks. =D

Ok so would y'all do me a favor? Head on over to BB's blog and check out her latest post. The one before it is semi-interesting too actually but she's asking for some help on the most recent one. See if y'all can offer some insight or something please and thank you. =)

Last but not least....

Another Ordinary Girl rocks and gave me an award.

Here are the rules:“These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Cool eh? ;)

I'm supposed to pass it on to 8 people so I'm going to pick.. Elisa, Temper, Jobthingy, Baby, KBear, Sam, Sage and Autumn. And because I don't follow rules so well... ;) Ms. Lily, Shad, Kate and Smiley too. Hehe. Though there were several others I wanted to pass it on too but other people had already given it to them, so... =)

I could stay awake just to hear you breathing...

I had never seen the movie Juno. Until yesterday. I have to watch it again though. I was distracted and only loosely paying attention to the movie anyway. Juno seemed like an interesting, quirky character though. I don't have any real opinion about it though. Other than the opinion that I should watch it again and give it my full attention instead of just using it for a distraction here and there. A distraction from my distraction. How clever. It's not typically the kind of movie I get into but the characters, a few anyway, seem quirky and intriguing. If I watch it again and think it blows, oh well. I've wasted more time on worse movies. If you've seen it once or ten times, feel free to share your opinion of the movie.

I can't sleep with the bathroom door open. I can't even see the bathroom much less the door from my bed. It's around a corner. I see the wall. I know the bathroom is on the other side. It bothers me to know that the door is open though so I have to close it every night before I go to bed. No clue why. I'm not even going to try and figure this one out either.

I had a dream Monday night about having a pet dolphin who lived in the lagoon that was in the backyard of the house I was living in. Which ironically wasn't a house but a dark, brooding, very old Gothic looking castle. The lagoon was surrounded by grass, purple grass actually. The dolphin only spoke French. So, I was trying fiercely to learn French so that I could communicate with this pet dolphin in the backyard. Then in the midst of things, a tsunami happened in the lagoon and killed the dolphin and consequently washed my castle away. Which was fine, turns out the purple grass was magical and I just had to pick some and then throw it into the wind with a picture in my mind of what my new house should look like. Then boom! New house appears, right there. Wayne Gretzky was my butler. I so didn't have a butler in mind when I tossed the purple grass into the wind. Especially not him. If it had to be a hockey player, why couldn't it be one I really really really adore? C'mon now.

Come play with us! Click the link and let us know you joined in.

1. What is the most exciting part of a sexual encounter for you?

I have a few things. The anticipation of foreplay ending and sex beginning. Those few seconds where it goes from foreplay to penetration, oh my gosh. Also, I find all the sensations exciting as hell too. I'm a sensory person so my boyfriend is always touching, pulling, biting or something like that but never in any order or pattern. It drives me nuts. Also, I love that we never have any kind of routine. No this goes with this. Lets do this and when we do, this this and that go along with it. It's always different and exciting, I never know what exactly will happen next because we just go with the flow and the moods change from one minute to the next sometime.

2. What is your favorite way to relax after sex?

Stretching out in bed, not saying much, listening to music or listening to nothing at all. Cooling off and just laying there, enjoying the feel of the tingles dissipating and the sensations fading away. Ice cream is good too if I can will myself out of bed, lol.

3. Do you find sex with someone you have emotional attachment with to be better than casual fucking with someone you don't have emotional attachment with?

I think physically, it depends on the person. Chemistry and emotional connection does make it better though. You can connect on a physical, mental and emotional level and just click. Casual fucking is nice and pleasurable but I get more from someone I have a deeper connection with.

4. What was the last really horrible movie you watched? (At home, theater, etc)

Tropic Thunder. If that counts. I didn't watch much of it.

5. What are 3 things some one could do or say during foreplay that would kill the mood for you?

Puking. Drunken sex can be fun but seriously, if you've had too much then please know that you need to pass out and try for sex in the morning. Puking, just the sounds and smells grosses me out enough that I wouldn't wanna go any further.

Not seem into it. If I'm doing something and there isn't clear signs of it being enjoyed, I'm going to think you're not having a good time and that kills it for me.

Compare me to an ex while we're fooling around. I've got them. You've got them. We've all got them. You can tell me things you like and what not but there's no need to get statistical and break out comparison notes between me and an ex.

I have to add a 4th one. Really bad body odor. I mean I know we're about to get all hot and sweaty but come on. If you smell like a garbage truck, I'm so not doing shit with you.

6. Where do you think the best place to buy sexy lingerie is? Why?

Fredericks of Hollywood. They have some hot stuff that fits my boob size and the rest of me proportionately.

7. Do you think how a person dances gives you a glimpse to how they perform in bed?

Lol. No. My boyfriend couldn't dance well to save his life honestly. I have no complaints in the other department though. Maybe not so much the dance moves but how they carry themselves when they dance (or try to) is more like it. I dunno. I don't care.

8. When was the last time you got served breakfast in bed?

It's been a while, lol. Last time was when I was 18, with my ex. He used to do that once in a while when I slept over. First time he did, he ended up spilling the juice and coffee on me. What a way to wake up. After that initial mishap, it was pretty cool when he would do that. Got to have it on one of those little serving trays that prop up though. I can't deal with crumbs in the bed. Ick.

That's all for that. Oh one last thing. Could anyone out there help a girl out with making a label/tag cloud or pointing me in the direction to the code of one that actually effing works? Thanks. ;)

Happy Wednesday!

Almost laughed myself to tears, conjouring her deepest fears...

Wednesday Weirdness #37

1. Why do you keep a blog?

I blog because it's a hobby. A creative outlet. To vent and bitch when I have no one else I want to vent and bitch to. To connect with like minded people that I would have otherwise never knew existed.

2. Who is one long lost blogger you wish would come back?

Jon Galt. I picked him because he was the first person I thought of, lol. Really, I wouldn't want anyone coming back unless it suited them and they wanted to. I can respect that people quit blogging for various reasons. Moving on, no longer needing it, it hurting their real life, etc etc.

3. If you made a New Year's Resolution, did you break it already? If you did not make one, why?

I never make them. I make changes and try to do better all year round. If I know I need to focus on being more productive, I work on that then. If I know I need to try to control my temper better, I start trying to do it when I realize it's becoming a big issue again. If I want to quit smoking, I know I need to do it sooner rather than later.

4. People who still have their outside Christmas lights up. Festive or Lazy? Discuss.

I couldn't care less about some lights. It's kind of cool to drive around at night and still see some houses with dangling lights. Now the ones who have their front yards still full of snowmen cutouts, Santa's sleigh complete with reindeer, candy canes and all the other festive cutouts and inflatable things? Maybe they're lazy but then if they have their yards all decked out, they weren't too lazy to do it so they'll get to it when they get to it. They may just be busy. Maybe they're waiting for something such as a relative to come back from the military to see the display and to open gifts. I have a friend who's waiting until her hubby gets home on the 21st to take their outside and inside decorations down. Maybe they have a certain date they take it all down for a different reason. Maybe they're just lazy and not looking forward to the work so they're putting it off. Not my business and really I'm probably not going to think anymore about it once I'm on down the road a few minutes later. Actually, this question marks the first time I've ever even thought about it I think, lol. I don't care either way, not my business.

5. What is the last annoying song that got trapped in your head?

I HATE THIS SONG! Here you go. :)

6. Have you ever worn or tried edible underwear? What are your thoughts on it?

Yes and yes. I don't care for it, on me or eating it off someone else. It does nothing for me because it gets sticky in a bad way and doesn't taste that good either. I just don't have any fun with them. I'll pass... unless you're talking Candy Necklace Underwear, then those I like. They're fun but a little bit of a pain when they break, lol.

*Bonus* If you could do one bad thing and get away with it, what would you do and why?

My automatic response would be to rob a bank and take care of myself financially. New place to live, new car, take care of the medical work I need done, pay some schooling and take care of some other things I need to take care of. Give some money to everyone in my family and to my boyfriend and his mom and grandmother. Of course, I'm getting away with it physically but I think in the ways of karma, I'd be fucked 10 ways to Sunday and not in any kind of pleasurable way. Also, I'd never rob anyone. I was in an armed robbery when I was a manager in a fast food restaurant a few years ago. I was the one surrounded by people with the guns pointed at me. No way would I ever put someone through that knowing what it's taken me to get over that having happened to me. So even though hypothetically, it's fun to think about, if I ever had the chance to really pull off one bad thing and not physically get caught, I'd pass. Though in the spirit of the question being hypothetical and fun.... I'm finding a way to get a truckload of money without hurting anyone and doing everything I listed plus traveling around to some places I'd like to see. Woohoo.

I woke up as the annoying music of my cell phone's alarm clock began trilling at me. I picked the most annoying chirpy song because I knew I wouldn't sleep through it. That's the good thing. The bad thing is it is one of the most annoying sounds in the world. I groaned and rolled over, snatching my cell off my pillow to shut it off. I closed my eyes as I rolled onto my back and stretched my arms above my head, feeling the muscles pull. I arched my back and stretched the rest of my body out. I pushed my eyelids up even though I really wanted to keep them shut and curl back up under the comforter and sleep another hour or two. I looked lazily upwards towards the ceiling and then shut my eyes again only for the briefest moment. My eyelids flew open then, seemingly doing a double take. There was a face in the ceiling, staring down at me. I rubbed my eyes roughly, thinking I must be hallucinating or decidedly more tired and sleep deprived than I thought. I shook my head from side to side and focused on the ceiling. The face grinned at me and began giggling like a little child. I cocked my head to the side and watched the face. I noticed the neck was adorned with a silver choker with a ruby in the center. I could only see the shoulders and then it was nothing below that. Dark curly hair draped the shoulders and glittering green eyes peered down at me in amusement. I laid there wondering if I should say something. Does it make me crazy seeing faces in my ceiling? What about those faces laughing at me? Or wanting to talk to them and see if they're really there? It laughed again, a light tinkling sound. I closed my eyes again and counted to ten. I pinched my arm roughly. I must be dreaming, that's the only explanation of course. I pinched my arm roughly again and opened my eyes. The head and shoulders where still there, smiling down at me, looking even more amused than she had previously been. I slapped my cheeks lightly a few times thinking that must be the trick to make myself wake up.

"Silly girl," the face called down to me, "stop hurting yourself. You're not in a dream and nor am I a hallucination or figment in your imagination."

I stared up at the women in my ceiling again, perplexed.

She laughed again, that light sound of glass gently hitting other glass. "Did you not want to ask me what I am? As you laid there, pondering if you were mad or still sleeping? Do you not want to know who I am?"

I slowly sat up in bad and pushed my back against the wall. This was the weirdest thing I've ever had happen and I've had some definite oddities occur in my life up to this day. "I want to know what you are more than I want to know who you are."

She nodded, once, curls falling slightly forward. Her eyes grew a darker shade of green and just a hint of amusement slipped from her pale face. "What I am isn't what is important, child. Who I am is what is important. What I want from you is even more important. Your cooperation, or lack of, will be what is most important of all."

"Okay. So who are you?"

She grinned at me again. Hands came to push the curls from her shoulders and she began clapping and chanting. I couldn't tell you what it was she chanted because I couldn't understand. I covered my ears and she chanted louder. I got up and tried to move away but my feet stuck to the carpet. I glanced up. She was still clapping but had stopped chanting to laugh at me. I glowered at her. Suddenly, I was floating up into the air. I was moving towards the face in the ceiling. I tried to push myself back down but I didn't have the ability to. My head hit the ceiling and I screamed. I pushed at the ceiling. She laughed once more and then my hands slipped through the tough texture of the ceiling and I felt as if I were being pulled through entirely.

I found myself standing on something solid. I looked down and found myself on solid ground. I had expected to look down and see pipe, wood, metal and insulation. I had expected to be in the attack or stuck in the wall. I didn't expect to look down and see bright green grass, crisp and crunchy underneath my bare feet. I looked around, hoping to see the strange floating face. At least then, I would recognize one thing around me. I didn't see her anywhere and didn't recognize a damn thing around me.
The sky was a brilliant shade of blue with thin, wispy violet colored clouds moving lazily about. I stood there for the longest time, staring in amazement at the color and the movement of the clouds. It was strange but pretty. I moved off the hill I was standing on and moved down to the road. On one side, I saw small houses made of brightly colored materials. Red houses with orange doors. Purple houses with yellow doors. Blue houses with green doors. All of them with black trim and black shutters around the tiny square windows. Each house had a small driveway and they were all white and sparkling even though I didn't see the sun shining anywhere to reflect light. Yellow, black and hot pink flowers were in the gardens of each house. On the other side, there was a forest. The trees were white, red and purple. Leaves were falling slowly from some of the trees in vibrant orange and the palest pink. The branches swayed slowly though I felt no wind. I noticed small bushes here and there. White in color with purple blooms. I began walking and wondered why I hadn't seen anyone yet. The road I was moving on was the only one here and it led between the houses and the forest. I walked passed several houses, looking at them to see if I could see anyone. I didn't. I walked past ten homes before I stopped. There was a strange looking little creature in the window of one of the houses. It was orange and looked like a cross between a squirrel and a kitten. It saw me and quickly glided down from the window before running away, across the road and into the forest. I shrugged and decided to approach the house. I knocked on the door and realized that I was taller than the door by about a foot. Strange. I heard movement inside vaguely but no one answered. I walked back down the drive and started walking again. The rode widened the the forest gave way into shops. A bookstore was first and I saw people in there. I went to the window and realized they weren't people but wasn't quite sure what they were. The next shop was a blacksmith, then a bakery, then a locksmith, a shoe store, a tailor and a candy making shop. The houses on the other side still continued on. Strange. I looked inside all the shops and saw the strange looking little beings in each of them. None of them noticed me. I wondered if they could see me? I made my way back to the bakery and opened the door. I was only half a foot taller than this door so it took a little effort to get inside. I had to stay hunched down inside, the ceiling wasn't any higher in there. The little beings turned around and stared at me. The plump one with the tangerine hair tied up in a bun let out a scream and then bowed down in front of me. The others followed her lead, laying down on hands and knees and bowing before me.

"Don't do that please," I requested.

The one with the tangerine hair looked up at me, seemingly confused. Her eyes were oval shaped and very blue. "My lady, we have to."

"I don't understand. I don't even know where I am."

A male with a shock of lime green hair peered up at me. "Surely you don't mean that, do you?"

I sighed, getting irritated. "I mean that. I have no clue where I am or what I'm doing here."

They all rose and looked at each other nervously. A female with burgundy colored hair ran to the back and brought a mirror with her. She approached me slowly, as if she were afraid of me. She kneeled in front of me, holding the mirror out to me, her eyes not daring to meet me. I took the mirror and looked at my reflection. I was surprised and confused by what I saw. The face that had been in my ceiling stared back up at me.

"This... this isn't.... I'm not... this isn't me!"

I stared into the mirror again, perplexed by what was staring back at me. Suddenly, the reflection in the mirror began to giggle at me. It startled me and I almost dropped the mirror.

"What the hell is going on?" I demanded of the reflection.

"Silly girl. I already told you!" Giggling and tossing her head back, she disappeared from the mirror and my own face appeared. I handed the mirror back to one of the females. I tried asking questions but they were ignored. The small beings stayed kneeling on the floor, refusing to meet my gaze and ignoring the questions. I gave up and crawled out the door. I sat down outside, pressing my back against the front door of the bakery. I heard them began to move in there again after a few minutes. I got up and started wandering around again. I walked further on, seeing more brightly colored houses and shops on either side of me.

I passed a statue of a unicorn and paused. It was yellow with purple detail. It seemed to be glowing. I moved my hand in front of it, meaning to touch it but I couldn't. I tried harder and couldn't get my hand to the surface. It was like some kind of unseen barrier rested around it, preventing anyone (at least me) from touching it. I walked on. It began to rain a few minutes later. The sky hadn't darkened and the clouds hadn't changed. The raindrops were a very pale purple color and so large you could almost see through them before they splattered to the ground. I walked quicker, my clothing going went and bare feet sliding along the road. I slipped and fell, sliding along the path a few feet before stopping. I pushed myself back up and moved on again, more careful in my movement. A few yards further and I slipped again. Falling slowly and then sliding along the moment my body hit the ground. I tried to stop but couldn't. I tried to grab on to something but everything slipped from my grip as soon as I touched it. I slid for miles and then suddenly, everything around me was dark. It was as if a switch had been thrown causing all the color to drain away from this world I was in. I kept sliding in darkness and felt myself wanting to scream. I couldn't though. I wouldn't let myself. I abruptly came to a stop, slamming into something solid and cold.

I laid there a few moments, catching my breath and trying to calm myself. I heard a faint growling noise. It seemed to be far in the distance but I didn't want to chance it. I quietly got to my feet and felt along the hard surface. It was cold and smooth. I felt my way along, taking timid steps, unsure of the ground beneath my feet. The only sounds I heard was the water falling from me hitting the smooth pavement beneath my feet and that faint growling that had to be far away. I came to a dent in the surface and pushed into it. It budged slightly and I hoped for a door. I pushed harder and almost fell on my ass. I regained my balance and pushed with all my weight. The dent gave way even more, enough that light began to filter in through the slight opening. I pushed putting all I could into it and within minutes, I had it moved enough to slip through.

I found myself standing in the middle of a graveyard in broad daylight. I looked behind me to see what I had come through but the only thing behind me now was a large oak tree. I was happy to see the boring normal color that an oak tree should be. I moved from the graveyard carefully. I made my way towards a gate and noticed someone standing there, leaning against a tree with their back to me. He was dressed in black from head to toe as far as I could see. I moved quietly, trying not to crunch leaves or grass, hoping like hell he (whoever he was) wouldn't notice me. I hid behind a large tree just to the right side of him, wondering how I would make it out without him noticing me.

"Silly girl," he said in a low, gravelly voice with a Southern twang, "if you want to get out of this alive, you need to stop creeping around behind trees and get a move on."

I stepped out and peered cautiously at him. "Who are you?" I asked.

He turned to face me. He had a scar along his left cheek bone and another scar cut in a jagged line across his forehead. White scraggly hair poked out from his large black hat. He looked me up and down and then snapped once at me. I felt the wind get knocked out of me and I fell to the ground. He threw a snake at me as I sat on the ground, pulling wind back into my lungs. I freaked out and tried to scream but the snake crawled inside my mouth to silence me. I felt panicked but couldn't move, couldn't scream, couldn't do anything. He snapped again and the snake was gone. I stood up quickly and felt heavier. I looked at my arms and noticed they were covered in clothing. I had on a black trench coat, black pants, black shirt and black boots. I stood there, amazed and then I looked at the man who was regarding me carefully. "Who are you?" I asked again.

"Not important girl. You need to move it. You'll never make it out alive if you don't run."

"What am I running from? What's going on?"

"GET OUT OF HERE!"

I ran away, jumping the gate and fleeing the cemetery. I was running along a beach now, which was no easy task. I was running towards a castle. I didn't know why but it seemed like that was what I was supposed to be doing. I got there and the sand turned to grass. I crouched down behind a huge rock. I looked around, totally unsure of what I was doing. Just then, something zoomed by my face and I realized I was being shot at. I jumped up and began to run and gun shots rang out. I did front flips as I ran to miss bullets. I ran into a cave and leaned against the wall to breathe a sigh of relief.

It didn't last long. The cave suddenly filled with light and the face from my ceiling and a mermaid came into the light. They were grinning at me, their faces giving away the ill intent they had in coming in to find me. I ran like hell and found myself crawling out a hole in the back of the cave. When I made it through, I was in a baseball dugout in the middle of a Yankees game. I ran out of the dugout and onto the field. I ran towards center field and jumped the wall, up into the seats, bounding up the stairs and reaching the top of the stadium. I jumped off the top of the stadium and found myself using the trench coat to help me sore to the ground. I hit the pavement running and found myself weaving in and out of cars moving along the street. Horns blared, obscenities were shouted and I kept running. I never thought to look over my shoulder once. I just kept pushing myself to move faster and get further and further away.

A truck turned out of a warehouse as I was rushing in front of it and almost ran me down. The driver slammed on the brakes and leaned out the window, shouting at me in Greek. I stopped and turned briefly, Greek apologies flying out of my mouth. I turned to run again and vaguely wondered how the hell I knew how to say anything in Greek.

I turned down another busy street and had to jump every few feet to miss hitting one of the turtles that was laying on the concrete. There were turtles every where and I was having trouble missing them. I stopped and ran into a coffee shop. I slammed the front door behind me and everyone turned to stare. I smiled and apologized. I moved to the counter and ordered a cup of tea and a muffin. The girl opened the register but didn't take any money from me. Instead, she handed me a twenty dollar bill before cheerfully telling me to take a seat and she would bring me my order. I shrugged and moved to a table to wait. She brought me coffee and a cupcake to the table. I shrugged and ate the cupcake anyway before sipping the coffee slowly.

As I was almost finished, something behind me covered my eyes and mouth and pulled me away from the table. I kicked my legs and swung my arms around wildy but never connected with anything. I felt a forked tongue slide along the side of my face and I tried to scream. The thing holding my mouth laughed and I tried again to pull away. Suddenly, there was a gunshot and then I felt a warm liquid ooze down on to me just before my captor fell away. I turned around and saw nothing there but a puddle of lime green with yellow swirls on the ground, smoke rising and letting off a foul odor. I looked around but everyone was acting normal, as if nothing had happened. I shrugged and started running again. I wasn't going to stop this time, keeping the strange man from the cemetary's words in mind. I didn't know where I was running to but I wasn't stopping until I got there.

I turned onto another busy street and ran down the sidewalk, dodging people and stray cats as I went. The harder I pushed myself, the more I felt like I was gliding instead of running. It was strange but relieving at the same time. My legs ached and my sides burned. I wanted to quit. I wanted to stop. To rest for only a few minutes. So I did. I stopped next to a guy playing a baby grand piano along the sidewalk. A jar sitting beside him full of change and dollar bills. He played beautifully. I was so tired. I felt myself nodding off and in moments, I was asleep.

I woke up to the annoying sound of my cell phone's alarm clock trilling at me. The tone I selected is the loudest, most obnoxious one on there. No way could I sleep through that noise and I always tried to get it turned off as quickly as I could. I groaned, rolling over to shut the damn thing off and decided I didn't want to get up just yet. I turned it off and rolled back over, closing my eyes and drifting back off to sleep.

Happy Wednesday!

Sparkling like a morning star...

I was walking down the street. The sun was almost gone from the sky and the chill in the air was dropping to an even colder temperature than it already was. I zipped my fleece hoodie up and walked a little more quickly than I had been. I was admiring the lights and decorations on all the houses in this neighborhood. Large, stunning Victorians with dazzling lights strung all over the roofs. Bright reds, dazzling greens, shimmering yellow, twinkling white and a few blue ones here and there. People had clear lights draped through the branches of their trees. Yards lined with plastic candy canes that flashed red and white. Fake snow covering roofs and sprinkled all over bushes, lawns and trees. Inflatable snowmen, reindeer, Santa, sleighs, elves, toys, trains and many other decorations lining the yards. I stared in wonder at each house as I passed. Not a single house had skipped on decorating. Not a single house had done a half ass job. Each and every one were so elaborately decorated. It was like walking through a stage for some cheesy Christmas movie where every house does insane decorations that some how all tie in together and look stunning and beautiful. The lights were all so clear, so bright. Twinkling in various patterns and seeming to call out to those who passed by. I stopped in front of one house and stared in amazement at the giant snow globe taking up most of their front lawn. It had Santa's workshop inside, little elves bustling about inside. Smoke rising from the chimney, snow swirling around in no patterned direction. Reindeer outside the shop, tethered loosely to a beam, sipping water and waiting patiently for their time to come. Outside, around the snow globe, was a scene made to look like an outdoor ice skating rink. The whole yard around it had been made to look like the glistening ice of a frozen over pond. Mini wooden versions of snow men, elves, reindeer, toy soldiers, dolls and children had on skates and were frozen in various stages of ice skating. Some paused in a flawless glide forever. Others sitting on their butt, as if they had fallen, a grin painted on their wooden face forever. I started getting a creepy feeling while looking at the pretend ice skaters and decided to start walking again. Unease began to creep over me but I shook it off, trying to convince myself that I was just psyching myself out. Still, I turned to look behind me quickly. I sighed, scolding myself for allowing my mind to work myself into a paranoia. I stopped at another house and admired the decorations of their yard. I heard footsteps suddenly behind me. I turned casually but saw nothing. I shrugged but again came the uneasy feeling. I started walking again and glanced over my shoulders and to my sides. I didn't see anything. It struck me as odd right then that I hadn't seen another person anywhere. The houses were all lit up but I didn't see one single person doing a thing. No one coming home from work, no one running out to do anything, no kids outside playing. I heard the footsteps coming again. Louder this time and I picked up the pace, no longer caring about admiring the rest of the dazzling decorations. I glanced behind me once more and this time I did see someone. It was a gingerbread cookie. A very large one at about 6 feet tall and it didn't look precisely happy to see me. The knife and blowtorch it somehow carried in it's fingerless hands wasn't very inviting either. I almost stopped to stare, to make sure I was really seeing what I was seeing. As soon as I slowed, another appeared. This one taller than the first, with a menacing glare on it's cookie face. The thing that disturbed me most was they were just like gingerbread cookies exactly except for one thing. Their facial features were human. Human eyes, nose, eyebrows and mouth. It was freaky. The second one held a rolling pin and a spatula that looked like it had serrated, sharp edges to it. I sped back up and began to run. The footsteps behind me increased and I looked again to find them coming quicker. I giggled because it looked funny to see them trying to run. One screamed out at me. No words, just a loud, rage filled noise. I stopped giggling and ran faster. It felt like I ran a mile but the street never ended. It seemed as if it were an endless block of huge, beautiful, elaborately decorated houses. My sides began to ache and I had to slow down a little bit. The gingerbread men continued in their pursuit of me and I wondered vaguely how it was even possibly that giant cookies with creepy human faces and strange weapons were chasing me. I tripped over a crack in the sidewalk and went stumbling to the ground. I tried to push myself up but I couldn't move. One of the gingerbread screeched as he got within reach of me and he threw a ball of icing he had put on fire at me as I laid there struggling to get up. I screamed as the fiery ball of icing sailed over my head, barely missing me. Suddenly, a giant snowman was in front of me. He used a lighter to melt part of his snow onto me, causing a puddle to form around me. Once I was soaked, I could move again and scrambled to my feet. The gingerbread men were barely a foot away and were preparing to leap and attack us both. The snowmen grabbed me and we jumped a foot and landed on a carpet. He clapped twice and the carpet rose off the ground and sped away. The gingerbread men tried pelting the flying carpet with more icing fireballs but missed in all their attempts. We flew up and over the houses on the carpet and I laid back on it, gasping for breath and hoping my heart didn't explode or decide to just jump right out of my chest. I asked the snowman were he was taking me but got no answer. Instead, he flipped the carpet upside down and I found myself falling through the air. Luckily, I landed on a bounce house that had no roof. I didn't hit any of the children bouncing in it but they all screamed out just the same. I guess I would have too if a strange girl fell into my bounce house from out of the sky. I scrambled out of there and found myself in a backyard brightly lit with Christmas lights. Quickly, a woman in a green and red vest came up to me with a tray. She looked me over and then asked me why my clothes were soaking wet. She said she had something that would be dry and fit me and asked if I'd like to towel off and change. I said sure and she led me through the yard towards a large house. I looked around and noticed they must be having some sort of Christmas party. I wondered why they were having it outside and at night. It was quite cold and definitely not the best weather to have kids out in a bounce house and running around a yard. I shrugged and followed her into the house. She pointed to a table where a pair of black pants and a red hooded sweater were laying. She said they'd fit and directed me to a bathroom as she handed me a towel. I picked up the pants and hooded sweatshirt and found that socks, a bra and undies all laid underneath as well. All in my size. Strange but whatever. I went into the bathroom, dried off and changed. I went back out and she took my wet clothes and popped them into a machine. In 60 seconds, they were dry. I said I'd go change back into them but she insisted I keep the clothing and come enjoy the party with them. I shrugged and we headed outside. She gave me a cup of hot cocoa and left me to tend to something else. I wondered around a few minutes and the woman was back, offering me a cookie off of a tray with many. I reached for a sugar cookie but she slapped lightly at my hand. She smiled widely at me and picked out a cookie for me. She handed me a gingerbread cookie, grinning widely, telling me she made the best in the world. I took the cookie and she smiled again before hurrying off. I looked at the small cookie and as I did, the face turned from one made of icing to one of human features. It laughed and snarled at me as I watched it come to life. I screamed and dropped the cookie onto the ground as I ran out of the yard. The woman called after me, screaming for me to come back and enjoy their party. I ignored her and kept running. I cleared the fence and once on the other side, found myself on a stage, in the middle of a ballet. I looked behind me. The fence was gone and there was only a curtain there. The dancers stopped their graceful movements and glared at me as I stood there dumbly. I apologized and ran off the stage. The audience laughed and cheered thinking it was part of their routine. The dancing resumed and I crept around backstage, trying to go unnoticed by all those hustling and bustling around me. I found an exit door but before I could reach it, Oprah Winfrey blocked my path and grabbed a hold of me. She called me a poor dear and told me I must come on her show to tell my story. I told her I had no clue what she was talking about. She shook her head and out comes Dr. Phil, spewing bullshit about denial. I backed away from them both but before I got more than 5 feet away, they both faded away into a shimmering mist as they turned into something else. The gingerbread men that had chased me suddenly manifested in the shimmering mist that had been Dr. Phil and Oprah. I screamed and turn to run. They followed and the chase was on again. I found another door marked exit and flung it open. I ran out the door and found myself running down a street lined with restaurants, shops, bars and people shopping. I glanced behind me to see the gingerbread men coming after me and I ran faster. I found myself running into the middle of a town square. Where a water fountain would normally stand in such a place, there was a huge fountain that was full of steaming hot cocoa. I looked into it trying to gauge how deep the fountain was. I ran to a shop 15 feet away from the fountain and grabbed the ladder from the front door. I put it into the fountain and found that it must be installed into the ground because the ladder had to be at least 7 feet and it had sunk all the way down into the steaming fountain. I turned to see the gingerbread men drawing near. I ran to another shop and grabbed an umbrella made of metal. I got to the fountain just as a fiery icing ball zoomed by me. It hit the fountain and I used the metal umbrella to knock the fiery ball of icing into the cocoa. Instead of putting out the flames, the cocoa began to steam up more. More fiery icing came flying at me and I dodged them all, making each fall into the fountain. The cocoa was beginning to boil and just then, one of the gingerbread men was right in front of me. He pulled out his knife and swung it at me, trying to cut me. I used the metal umbrella to fight with him in a strange almost sword fight. We battled around a few minutes and I ended up knocking a leg off with one swing of the umbrella. He screeched angrily at me as he tried to gain his balance on one leg but I charged him, hitting him hard. He dropped the knife and the blowtorch fell seemingly out of nowhere. He stumbled backwards and I charged again, knocking him into the boiling fountain of cocoa. He thrashed and yelled out as he hit the hot liquid but it was too late, he was melting down and dissolving in the thick chocolate mess. I picked up the blowtorch and began looking around for the second gingerbread man. I crept around, not straying far from the fountain but didn't see him anywhere. Out of no where, he was behind me, slashing his serrated spatula across my lower back. I yelped and cried out in pain as I felt warm blood trickle out from the cut in my back. I turned quickly just as he swung the spatula at me again. He got me on the arm and a gash appeared there followed by blood flowing slowly out of it. He laughed at me as he prepared to swing at me again. I got the blowtorch ready and fired it up as much as I could. He swung and I lit his arm on fire. He howled in pain and dropped his spatula. I picked it up and threw it at him, hitting him in the face and making it stick into one of his human eyes. He howled again and pulled the spatula out. His eye came with it and as he dropped the spatula to the ground, the eye hit and turned into a puddle of green frosting. I fired up the blowtorch again and started trying to set the rest of him on fire. He tried to run but he wasn't faster than me. He was burning as he ran and soon pieces of him were crumbling to the ground. Then he suddenly burst into crumbs after one final howl of pain. I jumped onto the pieces to make sure they crumbled up very well. A woman came out of a bookstore and handed me a broom and dust pan. She told me I couldn't leave until I cleaned the mountain of gingerbread cookies up. I swept them all into a big pile and then used the blowtorch to set them on fire. The woman grinned at me and said thank you. She took back the broom and dust pan and scurried back into her bookstore. I started walking away. One moment, I was walking back down the street with all the shops, bars, restaurants and people hustling about and the next moment, I was walking into my job. Dressed in my work clothes and heading to the wall where the time clock was to punch in. My manager stopped me and informed me we had a new area supervisor and everyone had to come meet her before clocking in for their shifts. I followed him back to the office area and found myself staring at the new area supervisor, who also happened to be the woman from the Christmas party earlier. She grinned widely at me and told me she had been expecting me. I looked at her strangely and turned to ask my manager what was going on but he had taken off from the office area already. I turned back to her uneasily. She watched be for only a few seconds before opening up a file cabinet drawer. She smiled sweetly at me as she held her hand out to me and offered me another cookie.

That's when I woke up. No, I have not eaten a single gingerbread cookie this holiday season. I didn't eat anything weird or anything at all before bed before this dream. I wasn't thinking about any of this and wasn't watching anything on TV that reminded me of this. Also no weird spicy food that night either. I just have weird dreams pretty much all the time, lol. I don't need to do anything in particular to cause them. My dreams are always strange. At least lately they haven't been too dark and creepy. =)

I know I was going to write about my Christmas day today but I wanted to post the dream instead. I'll get to talking about the food, the gifts and all that jazz soon. Either tomorrow or Sunday. Maybe even Monday. It's back to work tonight and the rest of the weekend. Hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday!

Happy Friday y'all!

Friday :)

I was running a ride in an amusement park that resided in a graveyard. It was a big rollercoaster and I had a little side car separate from the long train of cars. I started just before the train of cars in my little single car. The track was just a thick, giant plastic type supported with steel beams all around. The track was like a big Hot Wheels Race Car track. I had a remote control car in front of me and I had to make the car stay far enough in front of me that it did tricks to amuse the people speeding along in all the cars following closely behind mine. Then at the end I had to jump from my car in the middle of the final loop, grab the remote control car and then "fly" down to the ground safely as the long car of kids and adults observed as they went through the loop watching in amazement. I did all this wearing hideous purple and silver stiletto pumps, black pants with silver sequins, a purple top with a big orange logo on the front and a bright orange super hero cape.

Then I was working in the mall parking garage's bar, serving up drinks to people as they got out of their car and headed into the mall because who doesn't need a drink before Christmas shopping? I got into a fight with some carolers and smashed martini classes over all of their heads, which made them sizzle, burst into flames and disintegrate. Then all that was left was their festive holiday coats in red, white and green that weren't singed or anything from the flame. Then a bunch of homeless people appeared and stampeded towards me. Only it wasn't booze they were rushing for it, it was the festive coats they wanted and began arm wrestling over. Not all out fighting but yes, arm wrestling. The loser bums went on their way quietly letting all the winners gather themselves in the snug coats the former carolers had been wearing minutes ago. Then they skipped away single "Jingle Bells" all together like a merry little group of people. I decided to close the bar which was I pushed a button and every bottle, glass, ice cube, blender and other stuff folded into itself until the bar was just a big rectangle box. I pushed it into the storage closet, locked the door and went on my way, walking over to the mall.

I went ice skating in the mall's ice skating rink. Big Bird, Frankenstein, a fat Dracula, Elvis and Eminem were ice skating as well as children, teenagers and adults of all size and color. And by color I mean they were red, purple, green, blue and orange colored. I remember taking pictures of everyone, amazed at what I was seeing. Then I went onto the ice in my neon green ice skates and flew around in circles, passing everyone out there who was leisurely skating and having fun. I went faster and faster until everyone was just a big colorful blur and I couldn't even really see in front of me but I just kept going. Then when I finally stopped, I was standing outside somewhere, in a moonlit clearing where there was a party going on or something. I walked around, in my neon green skates still, trying to see if I recognized anyone and realized all the party goers were just mannequins which is why no one was moving. I walked to the end and came to a glass wall, looking out at normal people walking around in a mall. I realized I was in a giant display case in some weird store I assumed. I tried to make my way back the way I thought I came and ran into a wall. I went the other way and hit another wall. I sat down against the wall and noticed a mannequin in a pretty corset dress that was wearing some comfy looking Vans shoes so I took off my skates, took the Vans from the mannequin and put them on my feet, putting the skates on her instead. I leaned back against the wall and was trying to figure out a way out of the display when I noticed a door only a few feet away from me. I moved to it and tried to open it but it wouldn't budge. In white block letters, it said "Store" on it so I pounded on it and kicked at it. Finally, someone from the other side opened the door and let me come through. I was in Spencer's in the mall and I ran out of the store and into the mall. Real people moving all around me, shopping and laughing. I started feeling a panic so I ran for the exit. I was back outside in no time and went into the parking garage. I pulled keys out of my pocket but didn't recognize them. So I searched the whole garage for what I hoped would be my car. I looked over the remote attached to the key, hoping for a panic button or an alarm so I could easily find the vehicle since it would be making noise. No such luck, just a lock button, an unlock button, a button with windshield wipers on it and a button with a tire on it. I hit the unlock button on the remote over and over, walking around looking for the vehicle with randomly blinking tail lights. I finally found it, a black SUV monstrosity. I climbed in, started it and the thing drove itself so I just sat there and let it take me to where ever, amazed at how well the SUV drove itself. I was in Dallas but the house I ended up in the driveway of was one of the houses we lived in when we lived in South Texas so long ago. It was by far the weirdest and creepiest house we ever lived in. I sat in the driveway until the sun went down just looking at the house. I finally got out but when I tried all the keys on my key chain, none worked and I couldn't get in. I knocked on the door and my mom answered, asking me why I had sat in the drive way so long before coming in. I walked in and then followed her to the kitchen, where everyone was having dinner. Then as I was about to step in the kitchen, the floor opened up, swallowed me down and off I was going. Sliding down an endless dark tunnel for what seemed like the longest time. Sliding around twists, turns and steep drops. When I finally shot out, I was back at the amusement park. Back in that ridiculous costume and getting ready to perform my weird little show on the rollercoaster.

Then I woke up. I didn't eat any spicy food either at all yesterday. I haven't had anything but soup, mashed potatoes and pudding for the last few days, lol. I was reading an odd book before I went to bed last night. This dream isn't one of the weirdest I've had. Usually, my dreams are a little more dark and freaky. I woke up feeling more amused then anything today after that dream.

I like to write my dreams down. All of them. Mostly, they end up looking like something out of a horror book but sometimes I have just random weird ones. Occasionally I have good dreams but those don't happen often. I dream every night and I usually remember the details very well when I wake up. So, I type them out or write them down so I can remember them. It's kind of weird I guess but in doing so, I've found that I have quite a few reoccurring dreams that progress further along a little bit each time I have them.

I think that dreams are several things.

I think sometimes, dreams are your subconscious showing you things, telling you things, that you won't believe or admit to in your waking time. Analyzing dreams is always fun. I have books on it but the thing is, I never take any of the analyzing too seriously. It's mostly just fun to do and interesting to see what kind of outcomes I can get. Sometimes I look a little more into something and at times have realized things I was worrying about that I didn't realize I even had on my mind. Again, mostly it's just for kicks though I do believe slightly that you can learn things from dreams.

Sometimes, I think it's just my subconscious running wild, playing in my memory bank and pulling things out and putting on an odd little show. Like in this dream, the thing with the mannequins and being trapped in there shortly? I didn't remember it until today after I woke up but now I remember that as a little kid, I was also anxious in department stores because of the mannequin displays in their glass casings. I was always afraid I would some how end up inside one, stuck for life in there with only mannequins for company. I had irrational and weird fears back then. Same as now I guess, lol. I remember one day in a store, I crept to the mannequin display and sat down beside one of them and then slowly edged more into the glass display until I could be seen from the outside but more so, so I was sitting in there with them. I only stayed a few minutes because I didn't want to get in trouble by my mom or a store clerk, but after that, I wasn't afraid of being stuck in a glass case with a bunch of mannequins any longer.

Regardless, I always enjoy writing about my dreams once I wake up because they seem interesting. To me. Even the weird ones I don't understand at all. I've been thinking lately I want to try and do a book of dreams. Not an analyzing handbook or anything like that. More like a book that is a collection of short stories based on the weird dreams I have. Then I'll probably add more to them creatively to make them longer but not very much so. I dunno. I think it would be cool and I know I have more than enough material to use. My only issue is that I doubt anyone would want to buy and read a book like that.

Anyway.... I'm feeling better today. I still talk like a 5 year old and my jaw is a little swollen. The Ibuprofen is good for the slight pain I feel but it's more annoying discomfort than anything else. I have to work tonight. I haven't worked all week so far and I can't not work, lol. Got to pay those doctor bills some how ya know. Plus I miss working, lol. I hate lounging around the house all day and night without a lot of productivity going on. :)
Happy Friday!
