Let the floods cross the distance in your eyes ...

Questions By: Another Suburban Mom

1. If your boss says, "I would like to talk to you about your internet usage" what would your first reaction be?

I'd tell him to piss off. I make drinks for a living and the only computer I use at work is the one to ring orders in to which has nothing to do with the interwebs. Internet usage would be a personal subject that wouldn't be discussed between us at work, lol.

2. If you SO asks you "Does this make me look fat?" how do you answer?

My boyfriend never asks me that question! Lol.

I've personally NEVER asked that question, not even once. I hate questions like that. If you want to fish for a compliment for whatever reason, why not ask, "Don't you think this dress looks rockin' on me babe?" I just don't get it. Anyway...

I've never dated a guy who has asked me that. I'd probably say, "No, it's your beer belly that makes the shirt look fat."

3. What is one thing that you pay for, but resent having to do so?

Nothing really. I thought on this for several minutes and couldn't think of anything.

4. A day is being created in honor of you. How should we celebrate it?

First, we sleep in until about noon and then we watch hockey while having margaritas and Mexican food. Then we go to do something outside like maybe swimming or play a baseball game. Then we have a 4 to 5 hour movie marathon with a comedy followed by a fast paced action flick. Then there shall be rum, loud music, pizza, billiards, dancing and hot naked women doing what hot naked women do. Then sex and blissful slumber for all to end the day.

Though I just realized, this is generally how I celebrate my birthday, lol. Just added a bit more since hockey isn't going during my birthday and I don't ever do the movie marathon. The rest is pretty much how I like my birthday celebration to go, bwa ha ha.

5. What CD or Album in your music collection do you secretly enjoy, but would be embarrassed if others heard you grooving to it?

Nothing. Not everyone is going to like what I like just as I don't like everything they like. I don't feel shame in liking something I get enjoyment out of, even if it's Flo Rida, a Britney Spears song or a song by a long lost 80's band. I like what I like and don't get embarrassed by anything I listen to.

6. How long do you think you would last if you were a contestant on Survivor?

I don't watch that show. I wouldn't want to be on it though, I don't think. I'll do a lot of things for money but reality shows aren't on that list weirdly enough. I doubt I'd last long. I'd probably lose on purpose just to escape the drama. I'm not a people person despite being outgoing and I totally would miss my warm showers and sex with someone who doesn't smell like a foot or worse.

I've had this song stuck in my since I heard it yesterday. You ever hear a song and it just hits you deeply the first time you listen to it? I heard this song the first time yesterday. I think they released it on Monday actually, lol. So I listened to it yesterday and it clicked with a lot of thoughts in my head. It was like a connecting thing where it just slammed into my thoughts and it's not a sad song really but it made me sad at first. I can't explain it how I mean it so I'm not going to try. I like the song a lot. I love Chester Bennington's voice too. I just realized how old I was when I first started listening to Linkin Park and holy shit, I was jailbait when I started listening to them.

I had to stop listening to them for a short time. When my friend Stace died when I was 18, I couldn't listen to LP without thinking of her and thinking of her just made me sad because she died so young and so senselessly. I wrote a post about her once. I don't remember if it's here or the old blog. She was such a huge LP fan though. She was almost obsessed with them and I linked them with her because she was the only friend I had who was really into them like I was. Actually, she was more into them than I was. After she died from being hit by a drunk driver, I had a hard time listening to them because it would remind me of her. Then I would remember she wouldn't ever hear them again and wouldn't ever have another fun memory doing another thing again. Which also reminded me her young daughter had to grow up not knowing her amazing mother. Yeah, I stopped listening to LP for about a year because I didn't like thinking about her.

I can listen to them now and it doesn't always make me think of Stace. Sometimes it does though and when it does, it makes me a little sad and a little angry but then I'm okay and I just enjoy the music for what it is without emotionally tripping over things.

Pour another drink in my glass....

Before I get to the meme today, I have a question for you dear readers. What is your take on love at first sight? Do you think it's possible? Tomorrow, I am going to answer my own question but the post will take me more time than I have right now. I need to get some damn sleep, I have plans for the night that involve a drive out of town and a hopefully fun night. I know I won't be able to explain all my points quickly though and I'll need more time to word out my response. Also, I want to be able to include some points from other people, such as anyone who comments and makes a point I want to include. I'll email you and let you know if I use your comment in tomorrow's post as well. So for today, I want to hear what y'all have to say about it. Love at first sight with another person, is it possible? And please explain why you feel the way you do.

Now, on to the weirdness!

Wednesday Weirdness #55
Questions By: Amorous Rocker

1.) What are your least favorite sounds?
Anything scraping against metal. Alarm clocks. Crickets. Children from outside screaming their obnoxious little heads off in the early hours of the morning.

2.) Do you enjoy reading infidelity blogs? Why? If you don't, is there any reason why you don't?
I'm intrigued in a way by them. I don't read any one with any form of regularity but they interest me. I like to understand things that people do. It's interesting to see the dynamics. It's made me see a lot more and sort of understand things in many different points of view. None of it has ever changed my own personal view on the subject but it's interesting to see things from another view and gain a little more in depth understanding to it.

3.) If you could make one frivolous purchase right now without expense being an option, what one thing would you go buy?
So many options here. I think I would pay to get the rest of my oral surgery done. Does that count? Lol. Of course that isn't really frivolous so I'll say send me a Bugatti Veyron please and thank you! Include that insurance paid for life policy too will ya? ;)

4.) Have you ever gotten drunk and then gotten behind the wheel to drive?
NEVER. I was almost killed thanks to a drunk driver when I was kid. I was in the hospital and they didn't think I would make it. I still have physical issues I deal with to this day that are results of an accident that happened almost 20 years ago. I NEVER drive when I'm drunk or tipsy. I despise when people do it. It's stupid and reckless and you're not the only life you're dumb ass is endangering by doing it.

5.) As an adult, have you ever been caught having sex by someone you didn't ever want to catch you in the act?
Yes, lol. My boyfriend's mom. We hadn't been together long and it was a little awkward but I ended up just giggling about it. I found it funny. My boyfriend didn't find it as funny, lol.

6.) If your current significant other wound up in jail for no less than 5 years but didn't kill or physically harm anyone, would you wait for them or move on?
I have no clue honestly. I couldn't answer that unless I were in the situation. It would really depend on what he did. If it were something I could live with and something that I just didn't find wrong, then maybe.

7.) If you had to participate, would you rather be in a mud wrestling competition or a JellO wrestling competition?
JellO! Definitely JellO. Seems more fun. I don't like the stuff but if JellO got up my nose or in my mouth, I wouldn't be as grossed out by that as I would be if I got mud up my nose or in my mouth.

Beautiful, so damn beautiful...

I went yesterday and got some movies. I purchased Igor. I wrote about that movie earlier in the month. I finally found it and was happy. I really didn't want to order it off the internet and have to pay shipping for just one movie. Of course, I probably would have if I hadn't found it but I digress. I also got Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. I took YB to see this when it was in theaters and I thought it was cute. I love animated movies. I also got Quantum of Solace. Yeah, I love Bond movies, sue me. Except don't really sue me, I'm poor. You don't want my shoes or an IOU and I wouldn't look good in jail garb. Anyway. The opening scene makes me cringe a little though. I love the action but they totally wreck an Aston Martin DBS. They wreck an Alfa Romeo too but the DBS makes me cringe a bit more. Such a sexy, sleek car. I love all the action sequences in the movie though and following the story line from movie to movie is nice. I saw QoS in theaters with Boyfriend back when it was out. I watched it last night after I got home and realized I'd forgotten about half the movie since seeing it in the theater, lol. I still enjoyed it though. Mmm.

Less than 2 weeks now until I get to see Boyfriend again! I can't wait. *big grin*

Anyway.... On to the Weirdness.

Wednesday Weirdness #48
Wanna play? *Clickity click* the link and come on over.

1.) What is your significant others worst habit?

Hmm. I'll go with smoking.

2.) What piece of clothing that isn't lingerie or an undergarment do you have that you feel especially sexy/handsome in?

This comfy black sweater I have. It is so soft and warm but also lightweight. It has long sleeves that are wide at the wrist and it has a particularly low neckline. I love it. Also, a pair of jeans that fit just right in all the right places can do that too. I love a good pair of jeans.

3.) If you could drink ONLY two beverages for the rest of your life, which would you pick?

Water and rum. I love rum and would hate to give it up, lol. Water is the best pick for staying hydrated though and I can't drink rum all the time. ;) Of course going without soy milk would suck, I fucking love cereal. Hmm. Rum or cereal? Oh what a tough call.

4.) What is your worst habit?

Does speaking without thinking count?

5.) Are you superstitious in any way?

Not really. At least, I can't think of anything right now.

6.) What kind of shopping do you hate doing most? (Grocery shopping, clothes shopping, shoe shopping, etc)

I hate shopping. Clothes shopping, shoe shopping, shopping for toiletries, blah blah blah. I hate shopping. Unless it's Barnes & Noble or Best Buy. In which case I like shopping at either of those places. And I actually don't mind grocery shopping. I'm not the super smiley shopper cruising the aisles just enjoying looking at every can and box but I'm not the scowling chick who wants to push her cart over everyone because she loathes the task of buying groceries, lol. I do hate grocery shopping when a store is busy though. Krogers being 24 hours is amazing. I like to late night grocery shop and avoid mass amount of those people things.

7.) What was a “fad” you remember from your childhood?

POGS! Koosh Balls, dancing to the Macarena, American Gladiators, Gigapets, Skip-It, Simon, Hypercolor clothing and Schoolhouse Rock to name a few. I remember some other things too but fuck it, can't remember the names right now, lol. POGS were the shit. Me, 22 and one of our cousins used to collect the hell out of pogs and slammers and play that shit so much.

Happy Wednesday!

I could stay awake just to hear you breathing...

I had never seen the movie Juno. Until yesterday. I have to watch it again though. I was distracted and only loosely paying attention to the movie anyway. Juno seemed like an interesting, quirky character though. I don't have any real opinion about it though. Other than the opinion that I should watch it again and give it my full attention instead of just using it for a distraction here and there. A distraction from my distraction. How clever. It's not typically the kind of movie I get into but the characters, a few anyway, seem quirky and intriguing. If I watch it again and think it blows, oh well. I've wasted more time on worse movies. If you've seen it once or ten times, feel free to share your opinion of the movie.

I can't sleep with the bathroom door open. I can't even see the bathroom much less the door from my bed. It's around a corner. I see the wall. I know the bathroom is on the other side. It bothers me to know that the door is open though so I have to close it every night before I go to bed. No clue why. I'm not even going to try and figure this one out either.

I had a dream Monday night about having a pet dolphin who lived in the lagoon that was in the backyard of the house I was living in. Which ironically wasn't a house but a dark, brooding, very old Gothic looking castle. The lagoon was surrounded by grass, purple grass actually. The dolphin only spoke French. So, I was trying fiercely to learn French so that I could communicate with this pet dolphin in the backyard. Then in the midst of things, a tsunami happened in the lagoon and killed the dolphin and consequently washed my castle away. Which was fine, turns out the purple grass was magical and I just had to pick some and then throw it into the wind with a picture in my mind of what my new house should look like. Then boom! New house appears, right there. Wayne Gretzky was my butler. I so didn't have a butler in mind when I tossed the purple grass into the wind. Especially not him. If it had to be a hockey player, why couldn't it be one I really really really adore? C'mon now.

Wednesday Weirdness #43
Come play with us! Click the link and let us know you joined in.

1. What is the most exciting part of a sexual encounter for you?

I have a few things. The anticipation of foreplay ending and sex beginning. Those few seconds where it goes from foreplay to penetration, oh my gosh. Also, I find all the sensations exciting as hell too. I'm a sensory person so my boyfriend is always touching, pulling, biting or something like that but never in any order or pattern. It drives me nuts. Also, I love that we never have any kind of routine. No this goes with this. Lets do this and when we do, this this and that go along with it. It's always different and exciting, I never know what exactly will happen next because we just go with the flow and the moods change from one minute to the next sometime.

2. What is your favorite way to relax after sex?

Stretching out in bed, not saying much, listening to music or listening to nothing at all. Cooling off and just laying there, enjoying the feel of the tingles dissipating and the sensations fading away. Ice cream is good too if I can will myself out of bed, lol.

3. Do you find sex with someone you have emotional attachment with to be better than casual fucking with someone you don't have emotional attachment with?

I think physically, it depends on the person. Chemistry and emotional connection does make it better though. You can connect on a physical, mental and emotional level and just click. Casual fucking is nice and pleasurable but I get more from someone I have a deeper connection with.

4. What was the last really horrible movie you watched? (At home, theater, etc)

Tropic Thunder. If that counts. I didn't watch much of it.

5. What are 3 things some one could do or say during foreplay that would kill the mood for you?

Puking. Drunken sex can be fun but seriously, if you've had too much then please know that you need to pass out and try for sex in the morning. Puking, just the sounds and smells grosses me out enough that I wouldn't wanna go any further.

Not seem into it. If I'm doing something and there isn't clear signs of it being enjoyed, I'm going to think you're not having a good time and that kills it for me.

Compare me to an ex while we're fooling around. I've got them. You've got them. We've all got them. You can tell me things you like and what not but there's no need to get statistical and break out comparison notes between me and an ex.

I have to add a 4th one. Really bad body odor. I mean I know we're about to get all hot and sweaty but come on. If you smell like a garbage truck, I'm so not doing shit with you.

6. Where do you think the best place to buy sexy lingerie is? Why?

Fredericks of Hollywood. They have some hot stuff that fits my boob size and the rest of me proportionately.

7. Do you think how a person dances gives you a glimpse to how they perform in bed?

Lol. No. My boyfriend couldn't dance well to save his life honestly. I have no complaints in the other department though. Maybe not so much the dance moves but how they carry themselves when they dance (or try to) is more like it. I dunno. I don't care.

8. When was the last time you got served breakfast in bed?

It's been a while, lol. Last time was when I was 18, with my ex. He used to do that once in a while when I slept over. First time he did, he ended up spilling the juice and coffee on me. What a way to wake up. After that initial mishap, it was pretty cool when he would do that. Got to have it on one of those little serving trays that prop up though. I can't deal with crumbs in the bed. Ick.

That's all for that. Oh one last thing. Could anyone out there help a girl out with making a label/tag cloud or pointing me in the direction to the code of one that actually effing works? Thanks. ;)

Happy Wednesday!

I'm trying hard to re-arrange but some say it's the hardest thing to do,,,,

....But that's just too many days without you
And I know what they say, about all good things
Will they come to an end but I'll fight this time
So that we might have a chance at this."

Tuesday I still wasn't feeling much better. A little bit but not much buuut I'll take feeling only slightly better over feeling slightly worse. I had to go up to work, on my day off, for the only reason I ever go up there when I'm off, to get my paycheck. (Yay pay day!) and go put it in my bank account.

Then it was off to the store. I was looking for medicine and needed some bathroom supplies and personal products as well. To which I must veer off subject for a moment and bitch. The last couple times I've gotten sick, a day or two in to being sick, Mother Nature gets a sense of humor on me. She thinks she's one seriously funny lady. By that I mean I get sick and then a couple days into being sick, I start my period and I start it DAYS EARLY. So I get to be sick, feel miserable from that and deal with cramps and all that bullshit that goes along with the monthly cycle of having the wonderful thing known as the female reproductive system. Seriously, including this time, the last three times I've been sick this has happened. I don't find it near as funny as the folks in the cosmos do. Anyway back on track. I also needed a box of Klennex because I can't stop fucking sneezing. I sometimes sneeze so hard I fear I'm shooting out brain matter. They didn't have the medicine I was looking for which is cool because the stuff I have seems to be working fine and I forgot the damn Kleenex again. Second day in a row I've forgot to get them. Ugh. I'm sick of using toilet tissue every time I need something but oh well.

I also rented two DVD's for $1 each. I got What Happens In Vegas and Tropic Thunder. I saw What Happens In Vegas back when it came out, Boyfriend and I both thought it looked amusing and went to see it one night when we were bored. Tropic Thunder, I had not seen yet.

So after watching What Happens In Vegas, YB, LS and I started watching Tropic Thunder. I think we got 20 minutes in, if that far, before we quit and took it out, lol. SO happy I only paid $1 to rent it. Seriously, I'd rather watch a Will Ferrell movie over having to watch even 20 minutes of that again and I can't effing stand Will Ferrell's movies.

I think I'm gonna rent Swing Vote, Righteous Kill or Max Payne next. One of those 3. I'm loving the $1 DVD rentals now, lol.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans is out Friday! Fucking finally. Yaaaay. So excited.

I actually kind of want to watch Repo! The Genetic Opera but meh, I dunno about it. I want someone I know and trust their opinion on about movies to watch it and then let me know if it sucks complete balls or if it's semi decent to put yourself through or vice versa. I might just, you know, watch it for free and then I didn't waste anything but time if it really sucks.

I was bored and browsing around a website I love. I love pictures that tell a story. I love pictures that need no words to understand what is going on in them. I love even more pictures that do need words because what you see isn't all that is being conveyed in it. Sometimes you need the artists perspective to pick up on subtle things that make it that much better. My favorite thing about the picture I posted? (Image by TheoGoth)

The rays of light coming through the branches. I love the tree with the bare branches too. I wish I could see what this shot looked like in color though. I do absolutely love black and whites but sometimes, I wonder about the colors that would have been there instead. Rich and full? Lacking and lifeless? Shiny and bright? Shadows and rays of light? I love a good contrast as much as I love a simple black and white shot.

Something I also love in edited pictures is selective coloring. Click it, it's pretty. ;) The one thing of color surrounded by everything else in shades of grey, white and black. Even if it's a few items in color set around grey, white and black, I just love that effect. I think it looks so cool.

*Not all are work safe!* Also love this shot, this shot, this shot, this shot, this shot, this shot, this shot and this shot. All the links are a look at some of my favorite works by the awesome deviants of that website and again, not all the images are work safe so it's best not to click them if you're at work. ;)

Anyway..... =o) Enough of my ramblings. Have some questions. Or not. I always put these last for anyone who wants to skip them in favor of the real reading. ;)

Wednesday Weirdness #39

1.) Do you drive with your hands at 10 and 2 on the wheel?

Nope. =)

2.) How long do you keep cards given to you on birthdays and holidays before throwing them away? If you don't throw them out, what do you do with them?

It depends. One of my friends, Artist Guy, makes up his own Christmas cards every few years. He draws them out and they're multiple pages of crazy art and silly cartoons. He makes these for 30 to 40 people, friends and family and then sends them out. Not a single one is the same ever. They might have similarities but he always adds in a few things that are unique to each person he's making the card for. He usually starts doing these in August so he can get them all done in time. I still have the three I've gotten from him in the time we've been friends because they are the coolest fucking cards ever.

Store bought ones I don't keep that long. If there's something particular that really strikes a nerve in me, I'll keep it long enough until I write down the lines or phrases I want off the card to remember and then toss the card.
I keep homemade cards for ever because they're unique. Not another person has ever picked up one of those cards and given it to someone else because the generic words were perfect for them as well.

3.) If, when you die, you could will any one of your characteristics to your children (child/future children), what would it be and why?

Oh I have no idea. I don't even want a kid to tell you the truth. I never have and still don't. I know people tell me this will change but I have reasons why I don't want a kid. I'm even going to share them when I answer Smiley's interview questions this week. *grin* For the sake of the question since we're pretending... I would want my kid to have my ability to stand up for what
I believe in, even if it's not what the majority believes in.

4.) What is the best personality trait you got from your mother and the best personality trait that you got from your father?

I get being logical and analytical from my dad, I dig that.
I get being creative from my mom and I dig that too.

5.) What is something that you wish you had a better understanding of?

My boyfriend's mind. Sometimes, I just cannot understand his logic and it's frustrating, especially in a disagreement.

6.) What makes you nervous?

Tornadoes. Tornado warnings and watches. They freak me out. I'll go out in a hurricane and I'll sit outside in pouring rain watching thunder and lightning but tornadoes, even warnings of one, make me nervous.

7.) What is the strangest household object that you have ever or would ever use for help in masturbation?

Oh... I'm not even answering this one. Lol. =) Those who need to know do know and those who don't can always ask away from here. Not saying you'll get an answer but it never hurts to ask, right? Lol.

8.) What do you have sitting on the counter top in your bathroom?

Let me go look, lol I don't have a little wall cabinet and the cabinets underneath have clothing in them and other products. I don't have a room technically so I keep tons of shit in the storage space of the bathroom downstairs since basically no one but me really uses it for anyway. So.... Shampoo, sea salt soap, tampons, hair care products, facial care products, toothpaste, toothbrush, mouth wash, eye drops, deodorant, candles, lavender chamomile powder, sunscreen, hair brush, blow dryer, body butter and a bottle of rum. I need to put the tampons back under the counter. The rum can stay but don't ask, lol.
