Ella Enchanted? Not so much.

I had heard a ton of great things about LELO sex toys. People rave about them, singing their praises and rave on and on about what fabulous toys they are. Me, I'm a cynical girl so I didn't entirely believe that these toys were some kind of magical goddesses meant to work magic in one's vagina. Though, the hype did make me want to try a toy by the company something bad. With so many people raving about their toys, it did make me want to try one. So, I waited patiently and I got lucky after months of waiting. The wonderful folks at Tabu Toys were awesome enough to send me the Ella by LELO. The high majority of the reviews I had seen on Ella were all superb, filled with praise. Again, I'm a cynical girl but I was excited when I opened my box from Tabu and saw Ella's box peeking out at me.

I admit, I don't get hung up on packaging. I don't store my toys in the boxes they come in. I get that you don't want something to come in a taped together cardboard box. I get that you want the package holding whatever you're getting to be aesthetically pleasing. I get it but I don't care much about packaging honestly. I will hand it to Lelo however. They're packaging is quite lovely. The Ella came in a black box that was nice enough it could have been holding a fancy necklace instead of a double ended dildo.

It comes with a satin pouch to store the toy in and that does make me happy. I prefer to store my toys in pouches honestly. They take up less space than a box and they keep lint, hair, dust or any other type of debris lurking in your drawer from getting on the toy.

It also includes and instruction manual and the standard 1 Year LELO warranty.
So lets start where I always do and check out the boring details of the toy.

Material: Silicone
Texture: Velvety

Features: Double ended, Phthalates free

Length: 7"
Insertable length: 5"
Circumference: 4"
Diameter: 1 1/4"

Ella is made from silicone and has a super soft, velvety texture. Holding the toy in my hand, I was happy with the shape and feel of the toy. She is firm but not completely rigid. There is some pliability to the toy. She'll flex for you but she isn't the least but floppy. Which is nice. I like a good firm dildo that has a little bit of flex. It makes it easier to use if the form will flex a little yet still be firm.

If you want a toy that is going to fill you up, this won't be the one for you. It's not that big and it's going to leave you wanting if you're looking for something to give you that full feeling. If you want g-spot stimulation, you're definitely going to get it with this baby. The shape and size of the flat, wide head of the toy make it easy to stimulate the g-spot. Getting the head of the toy to hit my g-spot wasn't a problem at all. The problem I had is that the head kept getting hooked on my pubic bone which caused a slight bit of discomfort each time it happened. Totally hard to have an enjoyable time when something keeps doing something that doesn't feel entirely pleasurable.

The head tapers down into a thinner neck that has a flat, top surface. Then it widens back out to a wider, thicker bottom then the bottom ends in a slimmer point. The flat surface on top at the neck works quite well for getting a good grip on the toy if you're inserting the bulkier end.

Which brings me to the next thing. The other end of the toy. It's wider but still won't give you that full feeling if that's what you're looking for. I did like how this end of the toy felt inside me though. It felt less awkward than the head. The smooth texture combined with the shape felt quite nice inside of my vagina. However, after several minutes of using it, it just wasn't doing it for me.

You can also use this toy anally but I chose not to. Not for any safety reasons, more so because I just wasn't feeling the Ella that well. If you do use it anally, please be careful and keep a good grip on the toy. When the toy gets covered in lube, it's a little difficult to hold on to.

I did get off once while using the toy. It's almost impossible for me to not get off when stimulating my g-spot. The head end does work well for that. I just really wasn't feeling this toy though.

Remember, Ella is made of silicone so don't use a silicone based lube with her or you'll do some damage.

Cleaning of this toy is super easy. There are no batteries since it isn't a vibrator and there's nothing you have to watch out for. Some warm water and soap and you're good to go if you just want to give it a good clean. You can also give boil, use a 10% bleach solution or sit it in the top rack of your dish washing machine if you're lucky enough to have one of those things. If you plan on sharing Ella, make sure you sterilize the toy well before passing her on and once you get her back.

I really wanted to like this toy. Not because of all the hype that surrounded it. I don't ever let my expectations get too high with anything. Like I said, I'm a cynical girl so having high expectations just isn't my thing. I wanted to dig it because once I had it out of the box and in my hand, the texture of it and the shape made me really want to enjoy it. I was hoping it would rock my socks off and be my new favorite dildo. The lines and curves of the Ella are gorgeous. The texture is wonderful and feels almost decadent against your skin. When people call LELO "luxury sex toys" they really aren't exaggerating. From an engineering standpoint, this toy is great.

From my own personal standpoint, I'm just not impressed with Ella and she doesn't do that much for me. I'm sure there are quite a few of you out there who would LOVE to own this beautiful dildo though. Hell, there are tons of people out there who do own Ella and do love the toy to death. I'm just not one of them and don't see myself using this toy very often, if I use her again at all.

Thank you to Tabu Toys for letting me trying this toy out!

Thumbelina, this isn't a fairy tale...

The lovely folks at TabuToys sent me the Vibratex Thumbelina to try out. I really dig Vibratex toys most of the time so I was happy to see the company name on the toy box. I was also happy to see a pretty purple toy peeking out of the box at me.

I know a lot of people don't want the specifics of the toys in reviews but some people do. I know you can get them off the website that's selling the toy. Blah blah blah. Not everyone wants to go look them up and it's not a big deal to include them. If you don't want the boring details, skip down a little bit and get to the good stuff. =)

Material: Elastomer.

Size: The toy as a whole is 8 1/4" in length but you can only insert 3 1/2" of the toy. An inch in diameter at it's widest point and 4 1/4" in circumference.

Functions: Rotating, vibrating.

Features: Textured, multifunctional, multi-speed, contoured, phthalate-free, built in control pad that doubles as a nifty handle.

What you need: 4 AAA Batteries. (And some lube ;))

When I first opened up the Thumbelina, my immediate reaction was to scrunch up my face and ponder the shape of the toy. I took it and rinsed it off with some warm water and some soap because I never use any toy without cleaning it first. Some people don't do this, some people think it's weird I do it; whatever. I just feel weird not cleaning before using it for some reason, lol.

Thumbelina is a dual action vibrator that not only vibrates but also rotates. It is made out of elastomer and covered with a nubby texture. The shaft begins with a large bulbous head, perfectly angled and ergonomically designed to hit the G-Spot then she tapers down into a slimmer shaft. The nubs are all over the shaft but there is only a single line of nubs around the side of the thick, bulbous head. Due to the softness of the elastomer, you can't really feel the nubs on the shaft/head all that much. Even though the nubs are a rather decent size, they're just too soft to really be felt that well. For anyone who likes to really feel the nubs on their toys, you will probably be disappointed with the lack of sensation the texture on this toy provides.

The clitoral stimulator is also covered in nubs but they're quite a bit larger and thicker than the ones that cover the shaft. There is also a thing at the top of the clitoral stimulator, reminds me of a rhino horn but it's an elastomer prong that buzzes around quite nicely when the toy is turned on. That, as well as the nubs, work quite well on the clitoris. You'll have no problem feeling them against you and since they're so soft, they're not irritating at all.

The handle has a hatch on the bottom that pops open to show the battery housing. There's a little button at the back of the handle that you press in and it easily pops open the hatch door to insert or remove the batteries. My only gripe about that would be that if you hold your thumb at the base of the handle to hold the toy, the button is right there so it's easy to release the hatch door on accident. It all depends on how you hold the toy though. Avoid the button and you'll be fine. There are two sliding controls on the handle. One to control the rotation function and one to control the vibrations. They don't move easily enough that you'll be able to accidentally change settings while you're using it but they're not so firm that you'll have any trouble getting them to move while playing.

The bullet for this toy is inside the clitoral stimulator. It packs a nice little buzz considering this thing runs off AAA batteries. The vibrations travel decently to the head and slim shaft of the toy. Oddly, even though the shaft is closer to the clitoral stimulator, the vibrations are better felt in the head of the toy. Not a complaint honestly. ;)

The shaft and head of the toy can move in a rotating motion. I might like this except honestly I'm a bit too tight to really enjoy the rotations. If I turn the rotation function on, press the head to my clit and let it work circles there, it feels rather nice. Insert the toy and let it rotate though and it doesn't work too well for me. It's not strong enough and pretty much doesn't move around. It also sounds like it's about to break in there on that feature. I thought it might be the toy so I used it in my hand a few times, just making a fist around the toy and it moved around in my fist just fine. So that was a bummer because I have another toy that also rotates and it feels flipping amazing.

The vibrations are pretty nice for something small that runs off AAA batteries. Definitely more of a punch than I was expecting which was a pleasant surprise. The clitoral stimulator, with the vibrations and the textures, feels extremely good. I had the toy inserted, on vibrate and just let the clitoral stimulator work me over for a few minutes. It felt amazing. You can rock the toy back and forth inside you, you can slide it in and out, rock up and down with it; any number of combinations. Though for me, the length doesn't make it very enjoyable for sliding it in and out but I'm sure there are some out there that would be fine with that.

The noise level wasn't bad at all. I had the radio on at a moderate level and it covered up the sound of the vibe. Even without background noise on, it still wasn't that loud. Someone walking by wouldn't have heard it unless they stopped outside the door and were listening. Then they would definitely hear a little something.

To hear the noise level and me showing off the rotation skills this toy has, watch the video. ;)

Sometimes, the smell of a toy just kills me. Luckily, that wasn't the case with this one. I didn't notice any smell at all. And yes, if you're wondering, I held it up to my nose and smelled it after I pulled it out of the packaging. It didn't smell like a damn thing at all. Which is wonderful. Who wants a toy that has a scent that makes you want to gag when you pull it out of the box? Not I.

Cleaning this toy is easy. You have to watch out for the handle/control pack. Like any other toy with batteries that isn't waterproof of splashproof, you have to be mindful of the battery pack. I've been keeping it inside of a velvet pouch when not in use and it doesn't collect lint or anything at all. Which is definitely nice.

So, do I have a gripe about the toy?

Aside from not being able to use the rotation feature, which is no fault of the toy honestly, one thing that bugs me is that if you use both features at the same time, it isn't powerful enough. If you turn on the rotations while it's vibrating, it sucks the vibrations down to a gentle buzz, even if the vibrations are on high and the rotations are on a middle speed. That's a bummer in my opinion. Though, since I can't use the rotation feature once inserted, it's not too big of an issue personally. For someone else who may not have the same issue, it might be a real turn off for the toy though.

As I already said, the nubs on the shaft and head are a bummer too. If the texture on the shaft and head were like the thicker, larger nubs on the clitoral stimulator, ohmywow would that be awesome. As is though, they might as well not even be there.

Thumbelina is a fun toy but since I can't fully use it the way it's intended, I probably won't be using it very often.

Do The Wave... or don't.

The Wave is an interesting looking toy. Designed to stimulate the g-spot and the clitoris at the same time with little nubs for added sensations. The design is what attracted me to it. So when it showed up in a box on my doorstep, I was anxious to give it a try. It looked like fun so I was happy to try it out courtesy of the awesome people at Tabu Toys. Though due to being sick for close to a month and then Mother Nature blessing me with her monthly gift right when I started to feel better from having the flu, I didn't get to try this toy out for quite some time.

The Wave is a multi-speed G-spot and clitoral vibrator. It's made out of jelly. I don't normally care for jelly but this toy looked interesting so I set aside my dislike of jelly to test it out. The toy isn't that small. It's 9 1/2" in total length. Though the curved shaft of the toy is only 4" in length.
The rest is made up of the clitoral stimulator and the handle. The Wave is 1 3/8" in diameter at it's widest point.

The curved shaft has a circumference of 3" at the smaller part close to the base of the clitoral stimulator then widens to a circumference of 4 1/2" inches. The bulbous head has little nubs all over for added stimulation.

The clitoral stimulator base is also covered in little nubs and has a diameter of 1 3/8". The bullet is also located in the middle of the toy, where the clitoral stimulator is.

The Wave is controlled by a light up control pack that connect to the toy via a lengthy cord. The control pack is powered by 2 AA batteries and unscrews at the bottom easily to insert the batteries. There are 4 levels vibration and you cycle through them with the arrows on the control pack, one arrow pointing up and one pointing down.

The Wave is made out of jelly, it's firm but slightly flexible. It's not very pliable but it isn't completely stiff either.

When I opened the toy, the smell was a little off putting. Thought the smell was only slight, not near as bad as other jelly toys I've had to try.

I put the batteries into the control pack and then cleaned the toy off. I ran my fingers over the little nubs over the bulbous head and the clitoral bump. They felt okay but slightly rough. I used a water-based lube to lube the toy up and started my play.

That bulbous head with the nubs all over it? Ouch! From the get go, it hurt putting it in. I stopped trying and grabbed another vibrator to work myself open a bit more. Once I wasn't as tight, I tried The Wave again. The nubs on the bulbous head still hurt going in but once you get the toy in place, the nubs on the head don't hurt anymore. The shaft didn't really hit my g-spot but the clitoral stimulator fit snugly against my clit when the toy was in place. The shaft seemed a little too long inside me though and it felt slightly awkward. I love g-spot stimulation but it just wasn't rocking it for me.

The hump that the clitoral stimulator is on felt damn good though. The nubs there weren't as abrasive as the nubs on the head. The vibrations were nice and felt good against my clit.

Despite hurting on the way in, once the shaft was inserted, the nubs on the head weren't painful. I was only able to rock the toy side to side slightly. As I said, the shaft didn't hit my g-spot so the rocking didn't really do much for me there. The clitoral stimulation was quite nice but it just wasn't enough to get me off.

Pulling the toy out was as painful and annoying as putting the toy inside me was. The nubs on the head are just too abrasive to feel good.

I did try to use the head on my clit but that didn't do much either. The bullet is located in the middle of the toy in the hump where the clitoral stimulator is. The vibrations don't travel very well to the head of the toy. Which might be a reason why the shaft, once inserted and in place, didn't do much for me. I couldn't really feel the shaft vibrating much, even on the highest setting. So using the head on the clit didn't do so hot for me either.

The toy is not for sliding in and out of your vagina. Even if you wanted to, the uncomfortable nubs on the head are painful enough that sliding it in and out wouldn't feel good at all.

There are four level of vibrations. The highest setting is a good vroom. The lowest one isn't much. The second and third settings are decent. As I said though, the vibrations don't travel very well to the end of the toy so the shaft and head only get a low to mild vibration.

The Wave isn't very noisy. Some low background noise would cover up the noise of the vibrations pretty well and the noise it makes isn't at all distracting.

The control pack is attached to the toy via a cord that is pretty lengthy. The cord doesn't really get in the way and the control pack is easy to operate.

The handle is one of the better features of the toy. Though once inserted, the toy doesn't move much. The handle makes it quite easy to have a good hold on the toy and get a lot of control over it.

The toy can be used anally but I didn't try it. It hurt enough going in my vagina and being removed, no way was I trying it in my ass. I also imagine it would be difficult to keep a condom over the toy based on the design.

It's also waterproof but I didn't test that feature honestly. The abrasive nubs on the head really turned me off of experimenting with this toy a lot.

The design is interesting but it isn't going to fit everyone. The clitoral stimulator was perfectly in place once I had the toy inserted but I didn't get any g-spot stimulation from the shaft at all. Had the shaft been a little shorter and curved up slightly more, it would have hit my g-spot perfectly. We're all built differently so there isn't really a way to tell if the toy is going to fit your body comfortably or not just by looking at it.

Cleaning was super easy though. The nubs were easy to get clean and with some warm water and soap the toy was clean as new. That funky smell wasn't as noticeable after I washed it either.

I think had the nubs on the head been less abrasive and had I actually been able to feel some g-spot stimulation, I would have LOVED this toy. I love the concept of it but this toy just didn't do it for me. Though I'm sure there are those of you out there who would absolutely love it.

Not rocking my world...

I received Jenna's Velvet G Vibrator from the wonderful people at Tabu Toys. I was happy about this because it looks a little odd and I like trying out the toys that don't look like all of the rest. Though I was a little worried about the egg-shaped head of the vibrator.

Lets get the basics out of the way first off. This G-spot vibrator is made out of hard plastic covered with velvet cote. That gives it a firm but very smooth, silky feeling. The shaft isn't flexible nor is the head of the toy. It is Phthalates free so no worries there. The toy is a nice size with the length at 9" though the insertable length is 8". Circumference is 4.5". shaft ranges from 1.5" to 1.8" in diameter. The bulk of the shaft is large but tapers down to a smaller size as you get closer to the head of the toy. The egg-shaped head is 2.5" in length, 1.5" in diameter and the circumference is 2.8". The toy is multi speed controlled by a turn dial at the base of the toy. It runs off of two AA batteries and it is waterproof.

Now that we have the basics out of the way, lets get to the fun part of the review.

After I opened the package, I did my usual and did my once over of the toy. I was a little apprehensive holding it in my hands because I know my body and the egg-shaped head made me a little nervous now that I was examining it. I cleaned the toy off with warm soap and water as I always do before using it for the first time. I popped in the batteries and turned the dial to experiment with the vibrations. Holy shit! This toy is LOUD. I mean seriously loud. I can deal with some noise but geez.

I got out my favorite lube and got to work with the toy. I was apprehensive about it going in so I used my fingers to work myself open a little bit before attempting to get this toy in. After a few minutes, relaxed, angled the toy and started sliding it in. I didn't have much trouble getting it in but I did have to work the angle around a little to get it to go inside. Once inside, it felt a little odd. I turned the dial to start the vibrations and the lower settings just really don't do much for me. It makes a lot of noise but doesn't offer much in the ways of good vibrations. I slowly worked my way up the dial not really feeling much as I increased vibrations. At the higher settings, I could feel pleasant vibrations but they weren't that good. I'd give the highest setting a three on a scale of one to ten with ten being the best/highest. Not only that but it's just so damn noisy. You'd think with that much noise you would be getting a powerful little motor but that just didn't seem to be the case here.

After a few minutes, the toy was really uncomfortable to have inside me. The shaft was a good size but the egg-shaped head that's meant to stimulate the G-spot just wasn't doing it for me. It was uncomfortable, wasn't hitting my G-spot and the vibrations weren't so hot either. I decided to pull it out and try it out as a clitoral stimulator. Only thing was, when I was trying to remove the toy, the head caught on my pubic bone and I had trouble getting it back out. I had to slowly wiggle it around to get it uncaught and back out. Which is something I was worried about for myself. I was willing to try anyway and thought that since I didn't have much trouble getting it in, it wouldn't be much trouble coming out. I tried using this toy again without using my fingers to get myself opened up a bit more and found that I had quite a bit more trouble getting the toy inside me.

I hopped in the shower with it to test it out as a clitoral stimulator and to test out the waterproof feature. It held up fine in the shower. I was hoping since the clitoris is a lot more sensitive that the vibrations would be good for that. No such luck. Even on the highest setting, I wasn't impressed and neither was my clit. Though having waterproof toys in the shower is fun and it makes for easy clean-up as well.

The only seam on the toy is on the egg-shaped head which is helpful for a good thorough cleaning. I used warm soap and water to clean the vibrator off. Since the toy runs off batteries, no boiling or putting this baby in the dishwasher. Soap and water works fine as will a good toy cleaner if that's what you prefer.

I used this toy on my boyfriend too. I used the head to tease his nipples and his testicles. He didn't find the vibrations to be too thrilling either and the amount of noise and lack of oomph turned him off of it as well.

All in all, this toy isn't for me. The design is neat but doesn't work for my anatomy. Even if it were a little smaller, I still wouldn't dig it. Despite the awesome silky feeling material wrapped around the toy, the lack of good vibrations makes it kind of pointless for me. I also couldn't stand how noisy the toy was. I can handle some noise but even I found the noise to be distracting a little bit. I had my CD player on for background noise and it didn't much help. If you're looking for something to discreetly get off with, don't go for this because you'll need your television or stereo blaring to mask the sound of this toy.

Thanks to the wonderful people at Tabu Toys for letting me try this vibrator. Want to check out this toy or something else from their great selection? Just click the banner and off you go. =o)

A Tantus virgin no more!

I have never tried a toy made by Tantus but I have wanted to for a few years now. The price tended to be what stopped me. So when I found out Tabu Toys would be sending me the Tantus Pink Pearl G-Spot dildo, I got really excited. I couldn't wait to see if a Tantus product would live up to all the hype. When it came, I eagerly tore it out of the package.

I rolled the dildo around in my hands, examining it like I always do with new toys. It's made of my favorite thing, Silicone. It's non-porous, hypo-allergenic and had no chemical smell to it or any smell at all actually. It's smooth texture felt wonderful in my hands and I could only imagine how great it would feel else where.
The toy is a pretty, shiny pink color with shimmering spirals throughout the length. While the colors are pretty, the size of the toy is also worth mentioning too. It's insertable length is 6 3/4" which isn't too bad at all. The diameter is 1 5/8". Last but not least, the circumference is 5" baby. It has a large rounded head (the head is slightly larger than the shaft of the dildo) that is nicely curved so as to achieve G-Spot stimulation. There's a curved ridge in the center of the shaft and the flared base of the toy is nice and wide which makes it easy to get a good grip and hold on. The base also houses the vibrating bullet that comes with the toy. The bullet works with a simple push of a button.

After I got done looking over the toy, I quickly cleaned it with my favorite toy cleaner and then got to the fun part. I forgot to lube the bullet up before I put it into the base the first time so I had a hell of a time getting it out. Don't make that mistake! You will kick your ass for it later, promise. Take a little of whatever water-based product you fancy and lube the bullet up. It'll slide into place easily and you won't have to spend 10 minutes trying to get it, hoping all the while you don't tear the toy up in the process, lol. Remember, don't use a silicone based lube since the dildo is made of silicone and you don't want to damage this wonderful toy.

I put some lube on myself, laid on my back and positioned the toy against my opening holding it firmly at the base of the dildo. I began working it in and it wasn't that easy. The head is rather large and after a little difficulty due to the size, I used my fingers to open myself up a little bit. I'm a rather tight fit but I just love toys with a big girth, even when they're almost more than I can initially handle. I put the head of the toy back at my opening and pushed it in. Once I got it in, it was well worth my efforts and the shaft didn't pose the same problem that the head did. The toy is thick and felt like it was trying to fill any and all empty space I had inside me. It felt wonderful. Not just the size of the toy but the soft, smoothness of it felt divine as well.

This toy ROCKS for G-Spot stimulation. As you slide the toy out, the firm curved head rubs over the G-spot very nice and causes some VERY pleasurable sensations. I was ready to come after five minutes of fucking myself with this toy. So, I came and kept going since five minutes really isn't long enough to fairly test drive the toy. ;)

The curvy ridge on the toy provided a little extra stimulation and I never mind that. I could actually feel the ridge as I worked the toy in and out and that was a very pleasant sensation.

At this point, I did have the bullet in the toy but hadn't turned it on yet. I stopped for a moment with the toy all the way inside me, enjoying the fullness and then pressed the button so the vibrations would begin. The vibrations aren't strong but they're noticeable and quite nice. You can feel the vibrations throughout the whole toy. The G-spot stimulation rocks as it is but add in the light vibrations the bullet causes and it feels amazing.

I got into a different position with the toy. I got on the bed on my knees, laid down so my stomach and breasts were touching the bed and then slid my hand down in between my legs. Almost like the "doggy style" position but I kept my legs mostly together and laid myself down on the bed. I got a good firm grip on the dildo and worked it in and out of me in this new position. The G-spot stimulation was even better in the angle for me. I also found I could give my hand a break by moving my hips up and down, essentially riding the toy. It felt amazing.

No matter what position or angle I got myself in, the G-spot stimulation was always kick ass and the sensations from the curvy ridge in the shaft was tantalizing.

A separate time when I was playing with this dildo, I left the bullet out and used the hole that the bullet calls home as another way to help grip the toy. I slid my thumb inside the hole and held the base firmly with my fingers. That gave me stellar control over the toy and even though the vibes are a nice addition, they weren't necessary to achieve an orgasm. Or three.

Back to the bullet. I HATE noisy toys. I expect some noise but I hate when something is so loud that it's an annoyance and a distraction. The bullet makes a little bit of noise but it's not that loud at all. I find it to be rather quiet honestly. So, to show off how quiet this toy is, I made two videos for y'all to listen to. ;)

Click here for the other video to see how much noise it makes while in use. If you don't hear anything other than perhaps background noise thanks to the AC, don't worry your hearing is fine. ;)

This dildo is also harness compatible. I haven't got to use it in a harness yet but I suspect when I do, there will be a little follow up review so I can tell y'all how much fun I had with it in the harness. ;)

The dildo is waterproof, the bullet is not. Take the dildo in the shower and you can have some fun. It's also super easy to clean. Just pop the bullet out and you can clean this dildo in the dishwasher, boil it for up to three minutes, clean it with your favorite toy cleaner, use a 10% bleach solution and then rinse very thoroughly or just clean it off with warm soap and water. Whatever floats your boat. I used a toy cleaner and soft cloth to clean the bullet off due to the lubrication I used to get the bullet into the base for easy insertion and removal.

I have used this toy several times. I really can't wait to get to play with it in a harness. I also can't wait until my boyfriend gets to use it on me. That's always fun. This toy rocks and it's definitely going to keep a healthy spot going in my toy rotation.

Happy Tuesday!

If you're out of direction...

I got the book "Supersex" by Tracey Cox sent to me by the wonderful people at Tabu Toys recently.

It's a soft cover book with a sexy cover. Just a look at the cover and a flip through the glossy pages had m anxious to see what the book had to offer.

The book starts with instructions on how to touch your partner. It's really basic stuff. For me, I took nothing new away from it. For someone new to exploring sex or just someone shy or inexperienced, it would be great.

Same goes for the next section on teasing your lover. Nicely written but very basic. In the tease section, there's a few pages on Single Sex Vs Couple Sex. That whole thing just annoyed me greatly. I found the ideas in it to be mostly ridiculous in my own opinions. Sure, for a lot of people I'm sure it's true but for me? Ridiculous. Example?

"The downside of couple sex is being stuck in a bad sex cycle. If you're single and have bad sex, you can walk away and try your luck elsewhere. If you're married or in a relationship, you're stuck with it. Even worse, you're forced to do what everyone dreads: work on the relationship. (Ughh!) "

Really? It's dreadful to work on a relationship? In my opinion, the only way to successfully make a long term relationship work is to put effort into it and work on things when they get rough. Be it in the bedroom or any other thing. Relationships take work to make them go. If you dread doing things to better your relationship, maybe you need to re-evaluate things. Just my opinion.

Also, the book talks about how couples have "sensationally soppy spoon sex, sex where you both laugh yourselves stupid and sex where you both stop halfway through, hug fiercely, and say, "God, I love you!" While singles have more variety, more options and aren't stuck with the same things over and over. I don't find that to be true either because I've got three years with my guy under the belt and we still have some amazing, exciting, unique moments. I know we're not the only ones. The idea that couples all fall into having the same boring sex after a certain point to me seems ridiculous.

Then there's the guide on how to strip. I read it and I giggled through out it. If someone stripped for me the way the book instructs, I would laugh because it seems more like a script for a scene in a movie. Or maybe I'm simplistic in the way I dress as I don't go out wearing skirts, heels, garter belts, hose and the whole shebang for a normal day out. Of course if you plan in advance to be doing this strip show later, wearing all of that would make sense. It also seems too cliche and a bit over done though and that for me takes away some of the strip tease appeal.I like something that doesn't look like it was planned down move by move.

Something else that irked me was that as a woman, you ABSOLUTELY HAVE to give a man blowjobs. If you don't he will lose interest and move on to someone who will. Or if you're in a relationship, he'll just get from someone else the blowjob you're not giving him. According to the book. Sounds silly to me. Maybe if you're just dating around and not serious with someone, possibly that works. In a marriage or long term relationship? If that's a deal break then.... *sigh*

The "sure-thing sex positions" displayed in another section of the book look pretty cool though they aren't anything new and spectacular. You need to be in good shape to do most of them though and though they look cool, I'm not sure how good they would be for a prolonged period of time. Worth trying perhaps but I think I'll be passing on most of them. Some look more painful than pleasurable and others look like they'll be more effort to get into than they would be worth, lol.

Something else that annoyed me throughout the book? Seeing things like this. "sennnnnnsational", "Imagine how I felt!!!!!!", "Oooooowwwweeeeee" and stuff like that. I think on a blog, that's cool. I get the author was just trying to sell a point, just how good or bad something was but I don't know. It's not something I expect to see in a published book. I'm possibly just being a bit if a grammar nazi though.

At the start of the book in the introduction, the author states that it would be a good book whether you're heterosexual, homosexual or bisexual. I don't find that to be very true. It offers only pictures of a male and a female together. All the tips and scenarios are her pleasing him or him pleasing her. It doesn't offer anything specifically geared to anyone who isn't straight and doesn't cover anything about being the slightest bit curious about your own gender.

Also, there is a whole section that tells you how to analyze if a person is good in bed by paying attention to how they touch you, how the eat and drink and things like that. Seriously? I'm a very polite eater. I enjoy my food but I don't delve into it with crazy abandon. If one were to judge how I am in bed by watching me eat, they would think I was boring in bed mostly and occasionally sensual. I'm not the slightest bit boring so I found that section a bit bogus to say the least. I believe we can learn a lot from body language, daily interactions and from watching people act but I don't think that's applicable to everything.

The writer is a bit witty and shares a few personal stories through out the book. The things she shared tended to be a little amusing but it's always nice (in my opinion) to read about the lighter, amusing side of sex.

I had a difficult time finishing this book. I had to really push myself to finish reading several of the sections and more so I had to stop myself from skimming briefly instead of really reading it. I find a lot of things in the book to be black and white and in my opinion, there are a lot of grey areas to sex, intimacy, relationships, etc. It is informative and there is a ton of information in it. The book details a lot of things and covers a wide variety of topics including teasing, masturbation, oral sex, insecurities with your body, kinks and playing with sex toys. Though it doesn't get too in depth with a lot of subjects, just covers to basics and gets you a good idea of what you need to know. Other sections are very in depth. Despite all the depth and the wide variety of subjects, I still find the book overall to be a little one sided, black and white, whatever you want to call it.

It wasn't all bad though.

The book did have some decent information in it regarding male and female anatomy. It also had some good information about what's going on with your body during sex and explains a more technical sense of what's going on. It also covers some psychological points from male and female prospectives. Though some of the points seem like general assumptions more than anything. Lot of the decent points in the book are pretty much common sense though.

Also there is a section that answers some very popular embarrassing questions about sex, relationships and the body. That was amusing to read but nothing that hasn't really been covered before. The way the author responded to the questions was comical though, in a good way.

I also liked that it had a section covering sex toys and using them with a partner but that isn't a long section and doesn't cover much at all. It would have been better had more information been provided about toys and safety concerns.

There are some good tips here and there through out the book. Simple things though, in my opinion.

The pictures in it, and there are tons, are the most appealing thing about the book. The book has fantastic pictures in it and I found myself often distracted by studying them. Given the trouble I had finishing the book, the distraction wasn't bad.

I did like how everything was broken down in to sections. The structure of the set up is pretty cool. It flows easily from section to section and again, the pictures rock.

Personally, I might thumb through certain sections again but I probably won't touch this book again now that I'm done reading it for this review. I didn't learn anything new from it's 180+ pages though but I've read, explored and experienced a LOT. For someone younger and new to exploring things it would be great. A beginner how to book with lots of artful and stunning pictures. It reads a lot, in my opinion, like a huge compilation of sex and how to articles out of Cosmopolitan magazine. Just with more details and erotic pictures. I give it a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Thanks to Tabu Toys for the book! Oh and if you enjoy reading or participating in online forums, check out the Tabu Forums here!

Storm front coming....

I opened up my latest box from Tabu Toys and was surprised at the size of the box it came in. Seriously. I took a picture of it next to YB's big box of Fruit Loops and yeah, the cereal box is barely taller. The size of the Couture box made me anxious to see the prize waiting inside the box though.

The Couture Collection Tsunami is pretty sweet looking. It's a pretty blue color and as soon as I pulled it out of the box, I grinned at the feel of the smooth, soft Silicone material. It feels so soft it almost feels a bit... elegant.

The battery case was a little difficult. The back did not want to come off so I could get the batteries in to it. I thought that might be just something that happened because it's never been opened before but I accidentally put in batteries that hadn't been charged yet and getting them out wasn't the easiest task in the world, lol. It definitely won't ever accidentally pop off or slide out of place during use though. The battery pack gets the batteries locked in there once you slide that plastic shut.

I like looking my toys over before I get them on and going. I could just do a little once over but I like to look them over thoroughly before I get it on. (Hehehe) So, here is me showing off some things about the toy. No, you don't get a demonstration but you get to hear me talk. Cool deal, eh? Not really but watch it anyway, thanks, lol.

I got my water-based lube out and smoothed some over the toy. I swear, a fraction of my solo fun is just getting ready to play. Maybe I'm a total freak but I love how lube feels gliding over so soft Silicone. It makes me tingle slightly with excitement because I know what's going to come when I get the toy inside me.

The controls on it are very easy to work. You turn on the tiny power button and then a luminous red light shines on the bigger button, which controls the vibrations. The box boasts about a "feather touch controller" and that's fairly accurate. I HATE when I'm using a toy with controls that are so hard I have to out effort into smashing the button or moving a stubborn dial. This button needs only a light touch to switch between functions. The downside to that could be if you're stuck on a function you really like that is flat doing it for but you accidentally hit the button, the function is going to switch on you more than likely because it's sensitive enough that you don't actually need to firmly press it. Though when I was using it, I did accidentally let my hands move and I did hit the button a few times unexpectedly changing the setting and let me tell you, that was a rather pleasant accident.

The shaft is 7 inches long and it's pliable. Which is pretty cool. Something I worry about with toys is getting a bit too rough with them and either hurting myself or hurting the toy. I get into it, lose myself a bit and I just go at it without much thinking involved and it has resulted in a few toys causing a little more pain than I like because they weren't flexible when that definitely would have been helpful. This one bends and moves easily. Definite plus in my book.

The head is a bit thinner than the rest of the toy and has a nice little curve to it. In the right position, this toy was hitting my G-spot and making me one very happy girl.

The toy has seven functions of vibration, pulsation and escalation. The first setting is a little dull. It makes me want to just go slow and lazy to get things warmed up. Playing through the settings is fun. I don't dig the pulsation function but then again, I rarely dig pulsating functions in any toy. The escalating one is pretty rockin' though. It's nice and strong and I love feeling the change in intensity as it cycles through. The other settings are just simple vibration but the intensity and power just get better. This toy, even on the lowest setting, has good vibrations. The higher ones are awesome though. I love strong vibrations and this toy has definitely got some going on. If you're not big on powerful vibes rocking your insides, no worries, the lower settings are just fine. It works well for whatever ones preference is in my opinion.

The noise level of the vibrations isn't bad either. On the first setting, I could not hear it at all and I have stellar hearing. The second and third settings, you can tell it's on. The rest of the settings are a little louder but if you want the power of strong vibes, you have to take a little noise. Nothing a little background noise or muffling with a blanket won't cure though.

The toy has nifty little ridges on them in two different areas going in two different directions. I didn't think they were going to make a difference. The lower settings actually got me more feeling out of the ridges than the higher settings did. They do feel nice on the more powerful settings but on the lower settings, I noticed the ridges more. Either way you go, the ridges are pretty subtle but they still felt very nice.

Oh and one more thing I forgot to mention is the toy is waterproof. Kind of fitting for the Tsunami to work in water, don't you think? ;)

The only thing that would have made me like it more would have been if the ridges on it were a little less subtle and a little more pronounced. Other than that, I really dig this toy and will happily add it into my collection.

Thank you to Tabu Toys for letting me try out another great toy.

Yeah, we're gonna do it hanging upside down...

I have been wanting to try the Micro Butterfly Arouser for some time. I just couldn't get myself to spend to money on something so small. It looked like it would be worth it but I'm a poor bitch and didn't want to spend the money on a toy I wasn't sure I'd like. When I got my third toy from TabuToys in the mail over the weekend, I was totally happy to see this little toy on the cover of the box.

I opened the box, pulled out the toy and laid the contents out on the counter. The butterfly clitoral stimulator is a nice, soft Silicone which made me happy. I'm a big fan of Silicone toys. I love the feel of it. I like how it's soft but still firm too. The butterfly has a little texture to it and the head of the butterfly has two thin little antennas.

The straps, I will admit, confused me for about five seconds and then I figured them out. They're adjustable and stretchy. I was worried that the straps weren't long enough actually. I was worried they wouldn't adjust and stretch properly without tearing the soft toy so I went at it a little apprehensively.
They fit nice and snug with room to work with thankfully. Though in my opinion, the straps could definitely stand to be a little longer given that they're adjustable and stretchy anyway. If you've got large shapely hips and thighs, the straps this toy comes with might present a problem.

I plugged the toy into the power adapter and rolled the dial downwards to turn it on. Then I remembered that toys need batteries or they won't work for you. Oops! In my excitement to try the little butterfly out, I had forgotten to put the three AA batteries it requires in. The batteries go in the adapter so I just had to grab them, put them in and then turn it back on. ;)
The power adapter has pretty colorful lights that change colors randomly as each function changes. I pretty much didn't see a use for that but it sure does look cool if you happen to glance over at it, lol.

I dig a hands free stimulator. I get awesome stimulation to my clit which leaves my hands free to stimulate the rest of me any way I see fit to. The antennas I worried might get annoying but they were not. On the lower speed settings, they don't feel like much more than really fast caresses. On the lower speeds, it actually tickled a little bit in a good way which to say the least was a hell of an interesting contrast. A tickling caress that sends delicious sensations through your body. Turn the speed up some more and you can really feel the antennas buzzing against you and any thoughts of the thing tickling you into a giggling fit pretty much disappear.

It has three functions which are vibration, pulsation and escalation. It automatically and randomly rotates through those functions. For me, that's a pro and con. On the pro side, you have constant stimulation but the way you're stimulated changes every time it alternates. So you get a little something and it's like an exciting little surprise when it rotates to the next one. It's pleasant and very fun. On the con side, I would like it better if you could do the random rotation when you want and then be able to just pick a setting and leave it on there. When I was close to climaxing, having it switch from one function to the next randomly got to be a little distracting and also a little annoying. Not so much that I had to quit using it though since it did still feel good. ;)

I was totally satisfied with the power the little bullet inside the butterfly has. I like a really strong vibration and this little number gets intense on the higher speeds. So much so that it was almost a little on the painful side but not quite. Which I wouldn't have minded either way. ;)

It's a a bit on the noisy side but it's nothing so bad that it can't be muffled or blended over with some background noise.

The description on the back of the box says that this little toy can be used while fucking. Of course, it says it more nicely but still, it's all the same. Given that my boyfriend is a couple thousand miles away from me for the time being, I decided to get out a dildo and test the theory out. I slid the dildo in easily (no lube required, thanks to the Micro Butterfly *wink*) and began working it slowly in and out of my pussy. The butterfly doesn't interfere with the dildo thanks to it's petite size. I was enjoying myself greatly.

Then I started to wonder how an actual vibrator would work with this happy little buzzing butterfly so, I got out my vibrator, turned it on and slid it in. Playing with the speed settings of the vibrator and the butterfly, I found that it's pretty intense to have both things vibrating away at the same time. I reached orgasm in about five minutes fucking myself with the vibrator while the butterfly buzzed away at my clit. It was intense but very, very good.
Penetration and hands free clitoral stimulation? Yes please!

Pros and cons considered, I do like this toy. I'll be excited to see the boyfriend again so I can strap it on while we have some fun together. I'll definitely use it again during solo time as well but it won't be something I bring out very often. If you're looking for something to spice things up or if you really need clitoral stimulation to get off during sex, this totally might be something you should check out! I give it a 3 out of 5. ;)

Thank you to TabuToys for letting me try out this neat little toy! =)

You shook me all night long...

When I opened up the mailing box and pulled out the Hungry Bear Vibrator, my first thought was, "Oh hi!" Then a pleasant smile settled onto my lips and I opened it up. When I get a toy from a website, I always like to examine it as soon as I get it. The first thing that caught my eye was the clitoral stimulator. It's shaped as a bear holding a fish in it's mouth. I thought it looked a little strange and was a bit worried about it. I moved on in checking out the goods and the next thing I noticed was on the underside of the head, there was a woman's face imprinted there. That kind of creeped me out a little, no clue why but I figured whatever, maybe it's texture helps some how or something.

I love bigger toys. I don't mind smaller ones, they can be fun too but I'm partially to something a little thicker. I don't care about length beyond it being a good average length. I know some girls want something super long but me? I'm about the thickness honey and this one did not disappoint. =)

I put in batteries and got familiar with the controls. The controls aren't labeled but there are only two dials so it shouldn't be hard to figure out. I slid the dial on the left first and found that it set the shaft to moving in circular motion. That was interesting. I've never had a toy that moved in a circular motion and never actually thought about one that worked like that. I toyed with it to see how fast the circular motion would get to and then slid the dial back up to turn it off. The right side controlled the vibrating part.

I was anxious to try it out but I needed some lube. I wasn't using this thing without some lube. After a trip to the store, I was ready to rock.

I lubed it up, got into a comfortable position and started thinking sexy thoughts as I started to work the toy in. I didn't even have it on yet and I was enjoying it. It's got a thick, firm shaft made from vinyl with little ripples for a little added sensation. It felt so good. From what I could tell, the creepy woman's face didn't help anything but with the toy inside, you can't see it and I soon forgot it existed.

I decided to try the rotating feature out first, by itself. That was definitely interesting. It hit some really delicious spots and a few times, I momentarily forgot to do more than just hold the toy in place and let it do it's thing. I played with the sliding dial, starting out on a lower setting. I moved it down quickly playing with the speed settings. It starts getting a bit loud when you have it on high but it's no bad. The circular motion just feels... sexy. It feels a little like having the inside of your vagina and your G-spot massaged which was nice and arousing. It didn't get me off though.

Next, I turned the rotation off and went for the vibrating. I like a good, strong vibration. This was definitely good for that! I started out with it on low and slowly worked the toy in and out of me. I moved the vibrations down to somewhere in the middle and leaned back. Now I could really feel the tickler working too and OH MY GOSH. I was apprehensive about that at first. I mean come on, it's a bear holding a fish in it's mouth, lol. I'm perfectly fine with that now. This toy has a fairly strong vibration and the thick tickler really moves with it. A lot of ticklers annoy me because they just buzz there enough to be felt but not do much. This one vibrates into a frenzy and feels wonderful. I cranked it up to the maximum vibe speed. The shaft and the tickler had me racing my way to an orgasm and it didn't take long for me to get there. A few minutes and then I was biting my lip to keep from screaming out.

I had to take a break and go to my real job. I realized I hadn't used the toy with rotation and vibration at the same time yet. I had meant to but I got so carried away with the vibration and that damn tickler, I forgot I needed to try out the two features at once. So after work, I tried it out again. More lube. This time with no apprehension, only a smile on my face and happy memories of my earlier orgasm.

With both features going at once, it's noticeably more noisy. If I lived alone, I wouldn't care how noisy it is but I don't so I don't need people walking by and hearing odd noises. I did try masking it with some background noise and that seemed to help cover up some of the noise.

Also with both features on at the same time, it's a little distracting and also gets a bit irritating finding a speed combination that works. Both of them on low and it's not enough going on. Both of them in the middle and it just feels irritating. Both of them on high and it feels like a bit too much is going on but not in a good way. Sometimes a lot going on can end in an explosive orgasm but that wasn't the case here. I played around with setting the speed of each feature evenly and and then differently. The only way I liked both going was to have the vibration on high and the circular motion on low. It's a bit of an interesting contrast with the two at once though and I like it. The rotation feels sexy, erotic even. Then there's the good vibrations and the tickler buzzing away. I'll just need to play around more with the speed settings and hopefully find something that really rocks it for me.

It's a really good toy and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I'd give it a 7.5 on a scale of 0 to 10 and would definitely recommend it to someone looking for a good, thick (but not so thick you'll be in pain) toy with a rockin' clitoral stimulator. I definitely like it and will enjoy playing with it more. Thank you Tabu Toys!

To give you a really good idea of how the toy works, here's a video. =) If you're hoping to see something pornographic, you're out of look. It's just a simple little demonstration of how the functions work. Plus, you get to hear my annoying voice explaining simple junk. Fun!

That does it. =)
Questions & comments encouraged. ;)

Welcome to the show...

This is my first sex toy review. I have purchased and used many toys of different varieties before so I'm not a stranger to using them by any means. I was excited to receive the Elite 7X Sensual Obsession Vibrator. I was also nervous because in exploring the toy, I was also taking mental notes so I would be able to write the review. Then I worried, "Oh my gosh, what if my review sucks?" Well, I'm not worried about that much now. It's one of those things that to me is subjective and I'm sure some will dig it and some will think they could have written it better. Such is life. It's my first one and I honestly haven't read more than 15 toy reviews before. In writing this, I felt a little blind but I did the best I could. I do have one request though. If you want to offer any tips, pointers or CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM then please, EMAIL ME (amorousrocker[at]gmail[dot]com) your words of wisdom. Onward....

The Elite 7X Sensual Obsession is a dual bulbous probe that is 5.5 inches in length. Generally, I like something longer and definitely wider than the super slim design but I wanted to give it a try anyway. Smaller sex toys can be just as fun as the larger ones, right? ;) The probe has a removable plug-in power jack that plugs into the power panel. One of the features is it's One Touch Activation with a button that also handily Glows in the dark. Just the press of a button and you're all ready to go. The glow in the dark button does glow. I switched out all the lights in the room just to make sure. It's fairly dim but you'll be able to see it if you're trying to. I had no trouble finding the button without even looking at it but I suppose the glowing button will come in handy for some.

It comes with a sleeve made of hygienically superior Silicone that has multiple little nubbies of goodness all over plus a clitoral tickler. The silicone sleeve is stretchy and I was really happy with how easy the sleeve was to get on to the probe. Some toys with sleeves are a pain in the ass (not in the fun way) because getting the sleeve on and off is like an annoying, frustrating chore all in itself. With this toy, the sleeve is easy to get on and easy to pull back off as well which for me is a plus.

It has seven different vibration settings starting from low, medium and high. Then comes surging, pulsating, escalating and super speed. I'm the kind of girl that likes a good strong vibration. I lubed up the toy and slid it in, starting on low. You know how some toys on their low settings are just an annoying buzz that barely registers as a vibration? This was a little better than that but not much. I got bored of that quickly and moved on to medium. Which still was better but I definitely needed more. I pressed the button again and it bumped up to high. That was better and I left it there for a few minutes. I was really enjoying myself and decided to calm down a little and try out the other settings. I had a feeling I wasn't going to like the surging vibrations and I was right. I haven't ever found a surging vibration I like because I don't like the second or two where nothing is happening at all. If I'm using a vibrating toy, I like to have constant vibration. I tried it out for about a minute and then moved on to the pulsating vibes. I would have enjoyed that more if the pulsating vibes were stronger ones but they're only so so and I got bored on that setting relatively quickly. I moved on to escalating. I like things with an escalating vibration setting. I do like constant vibration but I really like when there's a change in the vibrations even if it is only slight. I like the way it starts out slight and then builds up with the vibrations on that setting. It goes from a meek little vibe to a good strong one then starts over again. I used that setting for a bit and started building myself up for the orgasm. Once I had myself close, I pressed the button and went to the final setting, super speed. Going from escalating to "super speed" was a nice little jolt but I suspected their "super speed" wasn't much different than the high setting. I finished, cleaned up and then got busy writing this.

While writing, I got curious around here about the difference (if there was any) in the "super speed" and "high" settings. So I, wanting to give the best account possible, made the sacrifice to go back and play with the toy a little bit more. See? The things I do to give a good account. ;) I slid the sleeve back on, lubed it up and started on high. I used it a few minutes on high. Then pulled it out so the head touched only my outer lips while I switched it to "super speed" and then slid it back in. I was right, I couldn't tell much of a difference at all. Which was a little disappointing but not very much so since it's still got a good vibration to it.

I really liked the sensations of the vibrations coupled with the nubbies of goodness. I liked the nubbies on the sleeve because I love feeling texture as I play. A smooth, hard surface isn't bad but I really prefer some kind of texture so using the probe without the sleeve for vaginal play didn't really rock me too hard. With the sleeve on, I definitely enjoyed it. I will admit I didn't care much at all for the clitoral tickler. It was more annoying than anything else and didn't do much of anything at all for me. It's just kind of there and I honestly didn't remember it was even there unless it was on the highest setting. I did pull the toy out and use the head of it on and against my clitoris, playing with different vibrations against it. That was definitely more fun than the little tickler itself was.

All in all it's a pretty cool toy but I probably won't use it much for solo fun. I think it will be more fun to use with a partner and I'll be testing that theory later this week when I get to see Boyfriend again. Laying there, leaving the remote in my partner's hands, letting them work the toy on me as they see fit and changing the vibrations whenever they want to. Mmm fun. Thank you to TabuToys for letting me try this neat little toy out.
