Love <3

13 hours later, here I am. Of course, I mean 13 hours after the end of The Dark Knight.

All I am going to say is OH MY GOSH. I loved it. It's probably my favorite Batman yet. I wasn't at all disappointed. Anyone who knows me any kind of well at all knows I am obsessed with LOVE Batman. The ending could have been a little... more... more what I don't know, just more. It was still a good ending however. I *loved* Heath Ledger as Joker. It was like the comic book character coming to life. In my opinion. I was happy with how everyone did in their roles. I was happy with everything in general. I've been waiting so long for this movie to be out. I was apprehensive before it started. When it's something I'm looking forward to, I am always quite apprehensive somewhere in my mind about how it's going to be. I was tap tap tapping my foot on the floor before and as the movie started. That quickly went away. Fantastic movie. I'm totally going to see it again.

I'll just have to wait a few days. I normally do not go see movies on their opening weekends. I normally don't go to the midnight showings the day before the movie opening day either. I hate dealing with all the people, the cramped theaters and the general annoyance of it all. This was the one movie I made the exception for and boy was it ever worth it. Getting there over an hour early is something I never do either but again, worth it. I was for one night one of those dorky fanatics I always giggle at. I giggle at them in part because I can understand. I'm a Batman fanatic. I have a collection of books, toys, movies and things. It's the one super hero I am a total nerd about. I am excited about the movie still, 13 hours after I finished it.

I'm excited to see it again here in a few days or so. I don't care what anyone else has to say about it either. I loved it. =D

Ahem... moving on.

I don't have much else to say, lol. I'm in such a good mood today. A very good mood actually. Despite how it looks outside. It's a really hazy day. It smells like the decay of fire. Singed things, burnt wood, lazy smoke drifting and covering the blue sky. It looks like a light rain cloud covering the sky but it's smoke. It sucks. I smile every time I see a group of firemen walking down the street. Leaving their motels to go do their laundry, hit the store, grab a meal, relax and enjoy some social time. Where ever they are walking to. I smile, nod if I get their attention. They have firefighters here in California from all over CA and all over the US. From Mexico and Canada. Some from as far as New Zealand and Australia.

Yesterday, we saw Air Force One. President Bush was in Redding, CA to meet Governor Arnold to go check out the fires. I, my mom, sister and youngest brother wanted to see the plane. I wanted to see if that plane was as huge as people say it is. I didn't much care about seeing Bush wave off the plane or anything. It was just cool seeing that airplane. It's HUGE. It was also interesting to watch that thing take off and disappear so quickly, lost in the sky. It was also interesting watching all the people around. Some people were just there taking pictures and quietly watching. Some were chattering on about how soon he would be gone, not only from Redding but from office. A few others were just insanely excited by it all. It was a cool way to waste some time in the afternoon. Thankfully it wasn't all that hot out yesterday either.

I've been trying to read this book for about a month now. I'm not making much headway in it though. It's not that the book is bad, it's not. I just start and then get interrupted. Or I start and I get distracted by something else and end up more interested in that. It's not one of those books that I just can't put down but it's good. My goal is to finish it by next weekend, lol.

These are from Saturday the 12th. I'm doing them now. =D

I'm J-E-A-L-O-U-S!

Thank you for telling how great Dark Knight was. When going to work this morning, they were talking to people who had went to the midnight screening. Everyone said it was excellent. I can't wait to go see it.

Have a great weekend!

I'm pleased it's living up to its pre-release hype. I will certainly be taking Son to see it now :)

I always enjoyed the later Batman comic books, once the central character became less "comic" and far more dark and moody. The acknowledgement that Batman works outside the law, to all intents and purposes is a criminal himself, brought so much depth ...

And this was never reflected, of course, in the earlier films. This (and "Begins" of course) seem far more to my taste.

ive heard mixed reviews about the movie. i wonder though about the joker being the focus and not say batman and mostly because in real life the joker had an untimely death. which brings me to the tribute...i digress...

have a great weekend...*hugs*
