Also, I'll get around when I can. The internet we have is touch and go with how it works. Or should I say, it works about 15% of the time. We're working on getting something better. I think. I hope. $50 a month for something that works an hour a day or less is a shitty little deal. =D
Anyway, on with the TMI...
1. What is your language pet peeve?
When people say "I could care less" when they are trying to make the point that what you just said means absolutely nothing to them instead of saying "I couldn't care less." Could care less implies that, you really good care less than you do at that moment. Could not care less means you could not care less than you do at the moment, that's it, no more, not happening.
As a written one, it drives me wild when people TypE LiKe thiS iN wHoLe seNtenCeS. I see that and I won't bother to read a word of it.
2. What is your favorite word? Both dirty and clean?
Dirty: Fuck, slut, bitch, ass and so on and so forth.
Clean: Massage, lust, psychological, intensity, idyllic, intoxicating, delectable, unadulterated, insanity, musical, amorous, metal, whatever and on and on and on.
3. What is the one word you cannot spell?
I don't have a lot of trouble spelling words. Two words that almost always trip me up however is narcissistic and necessary. I usually get them right on my own but I really have to stop and think about it before using either word.
4. What is the one word you always pronounce wrong?
None really. Hmm... Lancaster. It's a city in Texas but for some reason I always have trouble pronouncing it correctly. I can say more exotic places and words with no trouble but that one always trips me up and comes out wrong.
5. If you could erase one popular catchphrase from the English language, what would it be?
"That's hot" probably. Only when they say it a certain way. When they pronounce hot like hawt. Everyone fucking says that. When something is hot, when something isn't hot to be a bitch. It drives me crazy. If it's how you pronounce the word, it's fine. It's when it's said in the ala Paris Hilton way that it drives me nuts.
Also... "What it do?" I hear that one far too much and it drives me nuts.
When people use the words "like" and "totally" far too often in their sentences.
When people start everything with, "Oh my God!"
The worda "hella" and "hecka" drive me bonkers. I'm sorry y'all, lol.
When people constantly say things such as "LOL" , "OMG" , "LMAO" , "IDK" or any text like that in actual verbal conversations. Example: "Like OMG, IDK what to wear LOL"... Once in a while or here and there, it doesn't bother me so much. When it happens a lot, I swear I could choke someone.
*Bonus* The late, and very hot Michael Hutchence (INXS) once sang, "Words are weapons, sharper than knives" . What is the most hurtful thing you have ever said to anyone? Was it deliberate or accidental? What was the most hurtful thing ever said to you? Do you think it was deliberate or accidental?
I have no idea. Actually, after I broke up with Cheat Ass, we had a long argument a couple days later. He was begging me to let him make it up to me, to make things right between us. He said he would do anything to make things right with me so I would take him back. That he was sorry and he loved me too much to let his mistakes finish us. I told him I didn't love him anymore so it didn't matter what he did. That he'd never be able to make it up to me because I just didn't give a shit about him anymore.
I knew it was wrong, immature, spiteful and flat out mean. I did it deliberately to hurt him. He'd hurt me so badly in what he had done, I wanted to be able to make some kind of dig into him, to hurt him even a little bit. It worked. I didn't hurt him the way he had hurt me but it left a mark on him. It left something on me then because I felt wretched about it later. It wasn't true at the time and I had acted like one of those spiteful, stupid bitches that I usually cannot stand.
I try hard to hold it in when I have things to say that would be deliberately cruel. I have a terrible temper. A lot of people think it isn't as bad as I say it is but that's because I've gotten insanely good at controlling it over the last few years. If I said a quarter of the nasty things that pop into my mind when I'm angry or annoyed, people would understand my stance on my temper better. I try so very hard not to spew that garbage in a disagreement though. Usually, it's things that are true but they can be said in a way that is low, cruel and far below the belt. Shots like that are uncalled for, mean and hurt. I try hard to swallow them down as soon as they're thought. Occasionally, I've let them slide out of anger and felt terrible about it almost as soon as I've said it or as soon as I've calmed down. I try hard not to be the kind of person who says deliberately hurtful things out of anger, spite, my own hurt or anything else.
The most hurtful thing said to me? I can think of three things right now. I'd rather keep them to myself honestly. Two were said deliberately, to hurt me. They did well. They were both said over a year ago and I still feel hurt when I think back on them. They were true but like I said, the kind of true that can be turned into something bad when said the wrong way. The third thing was accidental. I doubt the person even knows what they said hurts me because I've never told him that it hurt. He didn't mean it to hurt me and I wouldn't ever tell him it did because it would just make him feel bad.
I'm generally not effected by words. Only a few people, those I care about the absolute most, can hurt me with the things they say. I hear shit from people all the time and I just let it roll off of him. It's that small group of people though, that I really care what they say, feel and think in regard to me. I hold what they say close and they're the only ones who can truly hurt me with their words.
Please remember to play Wednesday Weirdness tomorrow!
It's my turn for the questions this week. Should be... uh... fun. Lol.

Great answers. I appreciate your honesty.
I hope you are feeling better.
hm. im one of those people that pronounces hot like hawt.
i honestly never thought hot could be pronounced any other way? cause the o is short, and pronounced like "oxe" and it comes out hawt.
i dont pronounce it paris hilton style, but maybe it's the canadian accent. i have no clue.
Great answers. It really is tough coming up with only one favorite word, isn't it?
"That's hot" definitely needs to go.
That bonus question was a doosey for me too, although I kept my answer relatively short. Maybe I will do an entire post on that topic *wink*
Unadulterated is a good word ;) it just rolls off the tongue. Thank you for sharing your bonus. I see myself in your words.
Great answers! Happy TMI!
Great answers. Very interesting read. I wonder what the hurtful people said though. I'm curious like that. ;)
I couldn't care less about the careless use of the phrase. Well, not really, but I couldn't resist. Idyllic and delectable are scrumptious words. They even taste good. Great answers! I can't wait to see if you and Dana both post a post because of the bonus question. I'd love read both your stories.
Great answers. That sucks for your internet!
I *forgot* about the WrItInG with upper & lowercase letters like that. As soon as I see it, I immediately think *must be 16 yrs old* (giggle*)
I like your *fave* words too, btw. ; ) (wink*)
Paris Hilton should be banned from earth for starting the "That's Hot" phrase.
*sigh*
Happy TMI
How about when they combine the mixture of upper and lower case letters with text speak. Gives me a headache!
OMG, like, your answers are so hella similar to mine--or to what I would have written had I thought about it a bit more. ;)
Oy. I hate the text-speak and the uneven capitalization. I admit to scanning that sentence of yours even though it was merely demonstrative.
Happy TMI!
Another Suburban Mom:
Thank you! I love the questions you're coming up with. =)
Thank you!
KBear:
You aren't who I mean then, lol. If you say it because of an accent or just because that's how you say it, who am I to pick at you for it? I was referring to the Paris Hilton yucks that say it as she does in the way she does.
Paul B:
Thank you! It is, there are so many I just love. =)
Yes! =)
Dana:
I thought your answer did just fine. Sadly, that is a shorter version of my response. My original answer was even longer, lol.
Shannon H.:
I just love the way it sounds. It just flows nicely. Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed. =)
Pluff:
Thanks Pluffkin! =D
fairyflutters:
Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed reading as well. I don't blame you, I'd be curious too, that's my nature, lol.
Boo:
Lol... I was waiting for someone to do that! Scrumptious indeed. ;) Thank you! I think I will post something more because of the bonus answer. I think that's a good idea. =D Thanks!
Honey:
Thank you! Yes it does. It's been working wonderfully today. =D
I Smile 2 Much:
Lol, that drives me nuts. I'm so happy I have a 17 year old sister who loves to speak and type properly. I never cringe when I get messages or texts from her, lol.
Thank you! ;)
Rage :
Woohoo! Too bad you really cannot do that.
Biscuit:
Oh my. *Sigh* I hate that too!
Ms. Inconspicuous:
Lol! That's cool. =)
That stuff, it just bothers me. I... argh! Lol.
Thank you.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who cares about "I could care less"! When I was a kid, a lot more people used the correct form. Now, you even see "I could care less" from politicians and journalists and the like.
Happy TMI to you, too!
