We hear folks in the city party in Martini Bars...

I transferred the camera pictures over to my computer and I'm going to post a few of those here. When I get the ones off my digital camera uploaded, I'll post a link on here for y'all to go see. I'll be uploading those to my neglected Flickr account, lol. I take way too many pictures. Goodness.

I neglected to mention where it was we would be taking a road trip too when I mentioned we were heading out Tuesday morning. One of my favorite cities is San Francisco. I've been there. I have a friend who lives there (but he's on an extended stay in Amsterdam right now, lucky ass) and another who recently just moved from there. I fell in love with that city the first day I was in it. I know a lot of people can't stand it, a lot of people think this this and that about it, blah blah blah. Whatever, I don't care. A lot of people think California as a whole is a great state but we won't debate that right now, lol. Anyway... A few years ago, I actually contemplated moving there. I probably would have had lack of money and the inability to find an available, affordable apartment not been an issue. Things work out how they do for whatever reasons, I didn't move there and I met my boyfriend instead shortly there after. I can't complain about that at all. Back to the present.

We got there early Tuesday. We stayed at the Parc55 Hotel. It was pretty sweet. I totally plan to stay there again next time I'm in San Fran and have the need for a hotel room.

Here are a few shots from the room.

Our view from the 16th floor:

Our room television. I had it on Discovery, one of my favorite channels while CL ironed a shirt and Boyfriend took a quick shower.:

The super comfy beds that I wanted to steal the pillows and bedding off of when we were leaving Wednesday afternoon. Me and boyfriend with our backpacks had the left and CL and his bulky suitcase had the right:

The hotel bar. The lighting was too dim but they had an awesome set up. Totally classy but very warm and comfortable as well. We were watching ESPN while we had some drinks:

And this is probably the best Mojito I've ever had in my life and I've had a LOT of Mojitos before but DAMN, this one was so good I actually drank it slowly so I could make it last and really enjoy it, lol:

Boyfriend had to check out Alcatraz (pictures later to be uploaded to my Flickr) and of course, the sea lions:

Later in the night Tuesday, after walking a shit load and riding street cars all over the place, we headed back to the hotel and changed clothes. It was time for some fun times involving alcohol, loud music and whatever else. First, food. All the walking will get your tummy rumbling ya know. ;) We debated over a few places but settled on a place and set off in the general direction of the place we settled on. While walking, we passed something else and decided we would rather his that place instead since it looked cool, lol. After checking the menu outside, we decided to go in to Lori's Diner. It's a 50's style place, you enter downstairs and the restaurant is upstairs. They have a wide variety of breakfast and dinner items on the menu and they serve stuff you would expect to find in a place themed after a 50's diner. It was a cool atmosphere, friendly people and the food was good.:

Wednesday morning, after we checked out of the hotel, we went driving around and ended up at the Golden Gate Bridge. Neither Boyfriend or CL had ever been to SF before and it was something they wanted to see. I didn't mind. I love going and seeing everything there, even if I've seen it before.:

Shortly after that, we headed back through SF for the last time. We got some lunch and then started the trip back to where I live currently. We got back Wednesday evening in time for the barbecue my family was having.

Also in time to see the third period and the OT for game 5 of the Detroit and Chicago game. I can't believe I'm saying this and can't believe I've been doing this but, I've been cheering for Detroit to win the series. I knew the Pens were going to take out the Canes and didn't want to see the Blackhawks face the Pens. It's a rematch of last years Stanley Cup and I'm not sure which team I hope for a win out of. I don't like Detroit and I don't really like Pittsburgh either. Both teams have a few players I particularly like (Henriq Zetterberg, Niklas Lidstrom and Brian Rafalski for Detroit & Max Talbot, Miroslav Satan and Marc-Andre Fleury
for Pittsburgh) though. So, meh. It should be a damn good series though. Too bad I have to miss most of the games due to work. At least I can follow them here and there on my cell though. ;)

Happy Thursday!

I never tire of looking at your boobs. Hell, or any other boobs for matter. I must say, yours are right there at the top of the list.

I hope that came across okay.

I was in SF twice, once over night in 1968 on my way to Vietnam. The second time for a week while on a service call. Never did see the Golden Gate Bridge though. We drove over the bridge to Oakland and the view on the way back at night was awesome to say the least.

Why do they call it the Golden Gate if it's red?

I've never been to SF, but it sounds like you had a great trip. I LOVE road trips, but can't afford to take on now, so I'm just a wee bit jealous. :-p

I love SF and I LOVE Lori's Diner, where I had the best breakfast I ever had in the US. Its great to see it but - judging from your click-throughs, I didn't see it at its very best ;-)

Thanks so much for the Diner pics - so pleased to see them :-)
