Vegas fun...

My boyfriend and I just got back yesterday from a small vacation in Vegas. It was my first time going as well as his and the city was as much fun and as full of awesome as the people we know who have gone said it was. Not that I doubted them at all.

We spent Halloween there which was awesome. And yes, we did dress up. I was a pirate and my boyfriend was Mario from Super Mario Bros....

I won't bore you all with every detail of our vacation in Vegas. ;) I'll share a few things, though.

A few of the things we did:

Saw Cirque Du Soleil's Mystère at Treasure Island. The show, no surprise, was fucking amazing. I love Cirque shows and seriously wanted to see that one again at the next show time I enjoyed it that much. We didn't do that however since there's too much to do in Vegas for repeating stuff like that.

We went to Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. That was awesome. I learned about a few different species of sharks and saw one of the largest manta rays I have ever seen in my life. I love the ocean and it's creatures and going to aquariums is one of my very favorite things. Also, I met a guy at the Aquarium who owns a Batmobile. I was wearing a Batman tee & he said, "I bet I'm a bigger Batman fan than you are." Then proceeded to show me the Batmobile he has parked at his house. Not sure about a bigger Batman fan but definitely a huge fan with a lot more money than I have. Though he was kind of a douchebag so I think I need to track him down and "borrow without intent to return" his Batmobile because someone that douchey doesn't deserve something so awesome, haha.

I was also mistaken as a prostitute on two separate occasions by two different guys that were probably in their late thirties to early forties. At least that's how old they both looked to me. Neither of them were creepy about it though, they were both discreet and left me alone once it was made apparent that I'm not a hooker. Oddly enough I was dressed in a t-shirt and jeans both times that happened.

"Excuse me miss but can you tell us who you think has the nicer fake rack?" -Random guy to me, asking me to judge between two dudes dressed up as Showgirls for Halloween. They both made compelling arguments for why they each thought their rack was the better looking one and I made my pick based on the dude with the best argument since their fake racks looks almost identical, haha.

And one of the funniest things I overheard happened in a restroom in one of the many casinos we checked out, between a couple of drunk women at Treasure Island.

Lady1: "Look, a mini plush pirate! Isn't he cute. Laura, say hey to my little friend!"

Lady2: "No thanks! Lately all I've seen is little friends made out of limp material!"

Then they both laughed so hard they ended up laying in the bathroom floor holding their sides and crying. One of them started kicking her feet around and ended up sending one of her heels flying across the room into a sink. The woman at the sink next to the one the shoe landed in picked it up and threw it pretty hard at the two ladies and that ended their giggle fit and almost started a fight.

On Halloween night, we got stuck outside the Bellagio hotel because they were shutting the street down because they were filming a scene out of a movie and couldn't get down the sidewalk. The scene was someone parachuting out of a helicopter so they had that portion of street shut down for about 15 minutes. We could have gone back in and gone around a different way but opted to stand there and watch since they said we could do that. They wouldn't tell us what the movie was but we figured out that they'd been filming scenes for the Hangover 3 in Vegas all of this week and also ewkn they had shut part of the Bellagio's casino down on Monday for the first day of filming whatever movie. So now I'll have to watch the damn movie when it comes out to see if that's really what it was. They were cool and let us take pictures as long as we could do so without moving further out passed their barrier.

And that's all I'm sharing. I had a great time and will definitely go back since there is still plenty of stuff I want to do and see out there. Plus it's a lot of fun and makes hardly sleeping totally worthwhile.

Non-Vegas related, the Toys for Tots Blogger Fundraiser is up and running right now! Thanks to the people who have donated already and thanks to those retweeting my tweets about it and trying to help promote it with me. I appreciate it. I might have a giftcard contest going on shortly for people helping me promote the fundraiser as well as people who have donated and are going to donate a few bucks. I've been given a giftcard to do a giveaway with on my blog and I chose it to be for Target. I have the idea that donating and/or helping me promote the fundraiser will be the way to gain entries for the giveaway but I have to make sure the people that gave me the giftcard don't mind me tying the giveaway to my fundraiser. So, keep your eyes out for that one.

Happy Friday!

Wings of lead...

I got back in Wednesday evening. I had two really shitty flights.Thankfully the first only lasted two and a half hours and the second was only an two hours and ten minutes. The second from Arizona to California was forty-five minutes late leaving. All total bullshit and disorganization. The flight from Dallas to Arizona was overbooked and also late leaving. I had an hour and a half lay over in Arizona and I ended up with twenty minutes to spare because of the flight from Dallas being late. Well, turns out I had loads of time to spare in actuality since the flight leaving Arizona ended up being so damn late. I had plenty of time to spare because it took so long to board. Twenty minutes after we were scheduled to be in the air we were still boarding and then dealing with other issues. Meh. People are stupid. I hate flying. I won't mention the airline I went with this time but I don't think I'll be choosing them again. On the way out just over a week ago, I had issues with my flights out as well. I'm not a picky person at all. I just want to sit in my seat, listen to my iPod, read a book, sleep and be left alone. Be on time or close to it and not have to deal with a bunch of bullshit. So not too much to ask.

Tuesday night I went out with Boyfriend to one of my favorite spots around Dallas. Slim and Sparrow and The Car Couple met us up there. I got so drunk. I order double rum and cokes. The bartender/manager/one of the coolest guys ever makes them awesome. They equal out 4 to 5 shots of rum with a splash of coke on the top when he makes them for me. I had 4 of those plus a Kamikaze shot. I wasn't falling down drunk or I can't see straight drunk. Just "I'm having a fucking great night" drunk. I even won a game of pool even though I wasn't doing so hot when I was sober, lol. I play better intoxicated though. ;)

I'm not going to write a long detailed summary of my trip that lasted a little more than a week. I had fun. I hung out with friends. I spent time with family. I spent time with Boyfriend and his family. I went out and had fun. I saw a badass concert. I met a couple new people and mostly that wasn't so fun, lo. I had some annoyances. I wanted to punch some people. I laughed a lot. I had sex a lot. I didn't sleep much. I was happy as fuck the entire time I was there. =)

Oh and... I don't give a fuck that the Obama's got a fucking dog. Seriously. Shut up already. Thanks. *grin*

Now for some questions just because I can.

1.) What item are you too embarrassed to buy?
There's pretty much nothing I'm too embarrassed to buy. I had a friend who had a 'roid problem once and was too embarrassed to go get some medication for it so I went in and got it for him. I have no issues buying condoms, lube, tampons, underwear, feminine cleansing products or anything else. I've no shame about things life throws my way and the products I need to tend them. I won't buy condoms for other people though. If you're not mature enough to get your own condoms you don't need to be fucking. Just my opinion.

2.) Between you and your significant other, who controls the television remote?
He does. I hardly watch TV. When I do, it's sports or House and he'll be likely watching them with me anyway.

3.) Would you rather go to the museum or the zoo?
Oh man! What kind of museum? That's a hard decision for me. I love going to the zoo and seeing the animals. Especially if there are penguins and a good aquarium going on. I love museums too, especially art museums.

Oh and... a Happy Birthday to you Os! Go say hey and wish him well will ya? ;)

Happy Thursday y'all!!!!!

How do I feel this good sober...

Ckearly I skipped HNT today. I didn't intend on playing while on my trip. I probably won't play next week either. Which is nice honestly. I'm having such a great time. =)

Last night we went to some friends house to watch the 2 hour demolition derby MythBusters and then just hung out a while. I LOVE MythBusters. It's one of the shows I like to try to watch. I love a lot of the shows that come on Discovery though. I'll take those over sitcoms, dramas and reality shows any day. ;)

Then we went to one of mt favorite places where I effing adore the bartender/manager. He's so cool. When I get a rum and coke, it's a glass of rum with a small splash of coke. Yum. I do hate shooting pool after not having done it for.... 5 months. Eek! I sucked. I wasn't trying very hard either but it was damn fun. Then we left there around 1 AM.

Went to Boyfriend's. Had amazing sex that left me feeling dazed. Then we watched "Yes Man" because we had rented it earlier from the snazzy RedBox. Boyfriend had now been introduced to the wonders of RedBox. ;) "Yes Man" was interesting, funny too, kinda weird as well. Not bad though.

Now I'm writing this quick little thing while Boyfriend's cat tries to eat my foot. He's not succeeding. Then we're heading to my aunt's house to visit for the day/evening. Should be fun. Then Friday will be fun. Saturday we go to see Nickelback and SEETHER! Mmmm I love me some Shawn Morgan y'all. I do have a Saturday Survey already set to post as well. Someone actually emailed and asked if I'd have one this week or not, lol. Awww. Thank you faithful SS person. *grin*

That's enough for me. I need to get moving in the general direction that has me leaving for the almost two hour drive to my aunts.

Have a great night/day/whatever time you're reading this! ;)
